I came across this documentary on the Aldo Moro kidnapping event: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3060312583348413475there are several short mentionings of the P2 loge and freemasonry but on the whole it is mostly a political documentary. theres alot of stories about the p2 loge and all the stuff going on in italy around that time, and the more stuff i see about it the more it confuses me. and since its bound to come up sooner or later i thought id just ask: what is the deal with this p2 loge? what realy happened out there?

Antonius I can't claim any inside knowledge on P2 but I might point out that probably all large organisations are attractive covers for the activities of groups that wish to promote their own benefit For example the Broederbond captured South Africa africanhistory.about.com/library/glossary/bldef-broederbond.htmAnd the Roman church has a number of secretive organisations using it for cover including Opus Dei en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opus_DeiAnd Masonry has or has had a number of groups concealed within it including the fugitive Knights Templar. Also Masonry has been used for political purposes including in Scotland and France so that English Masonry has been overtly non-political to ensure its freedom to operate. You might also note that dark organisations may find a lodge ritual and structure just as useful as a light organisation. For example the Fraternitatis Saturni do not seem to follow a god of love user.cyberlink.ch/~koenig/saturn.htmThus I would be inclined to consider P2 as an example of a dark organisation using a lodge structure and attempting to conceal itself within Masonry If you look you may also find dark organisations masquerading as Christian churches. They are easy to spot because they control their members very closely - breaking up families, limiting freedom of thought, reducing personal space, making it difficult to leave the church, and persecuting ex-members Cheers Russell

yeah thats more or less what i thought.
in fact i been thinking for a wile now how easy it would be for any corrupt organisation with some political agenda to commit a crime, make sure there are some esoteric symbols in the mix and sit back and watch the internet fill up with masonic conspiracy theories. after that whatever of the truth may come out, it will be lost in amoung the speculation.

From that link: In 1993 the Afrikaner Broederbond decided to end the secrecy and under its new name, Afrikanerbond, opened membership to women and other races.
