This is an invitation for all who are interested in Freemasonry to view The Middle Chamber - themiddlechamber.net/phpbb2We hope that this new Masonic Forum can develop into the cornerstone of Masonic study, information, education and socialising. The Objective is a very serious one, however, we cannot achieve this goal by ourselves! Please join us and give any input on any subject of interest you have, or pop in and see if anyone has a nugget of knowledge that you dont! Although the forum is very much in it's infancy, we hope to watch it grow and mature into something special. Whatever your field of interest, we hope that you pay us a visit and say hi! Kindest Regards Bros. James Kitney and Peter Taylor

Good Luck Brothers! I hope it proves to be successful!
I am very seriously thinking of starting a new Masonic Forum myself. I understand that there are Server Hosts who are either free if you take their adverts or charge a relatively small amount.
I have to go out shortly for some last minute Xmas shopping I left undone yesterday, and will be out Xmas and Boxing Day so can't get anything up and running till later this week.
Should I succeed I will invite some of the posters here and from one other Forum I post to come over.

If I get it up and running. No ;D, No Jokes Section and one single Admin/Mod. Like I say I will have to investigate the cost in time and money and may not bother as there seem to be a plethora of Masonic Fora these days. If I do get one going personal invites will be given.

Thats a great Idea Steve, the more the merrier.
The set up and costs are not High, Pro Boards are about the best I think. The if you want you can pay a monthly fee to get rid of the adds. but you pay a fee one way or the other.
The basic host pack I do is about £24 per year, but there are plenty out there. But that is a good guide price so you dont get ripped off. Some charge a lot and you dont get any more.
If you buy a domain name about about £ 5 to 10 you can get your own host pack for nothing, but it will carry some adds. But you can upgrade after.
So it need not cost that much.
Pro Boards charge Overview Our monthly ad-free program is a paid service designed for those forums hosted by ProBoards.com that wish to remove the advertisements from their message board. For the price of $7 per month, we provide your board up to 50,000 ad-free pageviews per month.
How does it work? All of our paid services are run on what is called the "credits" system. For each dollar that is donated to a forum, we add one (1) credit to the forum. Any member at a forum can donate as few or as many credits as they want to a forum. This means that you can have many different people donate to share the cost of our paid services, making it even more affordable for everyone.
How many credits does ad-free cost per month? Ad-free costs 7 credits per month, which costs $7.00.
But you can get say 7 of you and you pay $1 each a month.
So you pays your money and you takes your choice.
The other idea Steve is your own Blog, that willl not cost anything. Go Google
