Bro:. Patrick, Having just passed one ourselves yesterday, I can only say I feel for your Brn:., having to do a double ... Both the RWM, Bro:. Steve and I are wiped out today, aren't we Steve? It's a very demanding degree when you're 'on the other side' of the experience. With tallies more than a little bit with the hard work the Craftsman is about to commence ... enjoy!

I can confirm that yesterday's Second Degree certainly did draw the energy out of me as Bro Cora has said. It is I feel a Degree which in some Masonic bodies is overlooked between the First and the Third yet I have always felt has very important lessons to convey and if properly conducted makes an great impression both on the Candidate and the Officers performing it.

We'll certainly enjoy the experience, can't wait! Under two weeks to go now and we are incredibly excited and eagerly anticipating events to come. I hope our Brn:. aren't too exhausted at the end as it's our turn to bring the cakes. We'll have something special to say thanks to everyone

It is I feel a Degree which in some Masonic bodies is overlooked between the First and the Third yet I have always felt has very important lessons to convey and if properly conducted makes an great impression both on the Candidate and the Officers performing it. I have heard stories that the FC degree isn't that great or important, that it is a necessary stepping stone one has to go through to get to MM, etc... But I know there's so much more to it than that, as confirmed by your post. Thanks Brother.

Thanks Bill and Karen. Just returned from a truly marvellous day. Our Passing was a wonderful and unique experience and will remain with us forever; everything went even better than we hoped and the Brethren of our Lodge deserve every credit for ensuring the Ceremony such a special one for us. More on our Passing later

Delighted that it went well for your both and look forward to your account.
I was at Camberley today where we had the explanations of the 1st and 2nd Degree Tracing Boards.

Thanks to one and all for your comments.
As we are currently moving to our new house access to the Internet will be hit and miss for a few days.
I will write more on our Passing as soon as we are settled.
Thanks again for all your support and assistance in getting to this stage of our Masonic journey.

Many congratulations to you both
The FC is a very under-rated degree - enjoy it

Thanks Wayne. Enjoying it very much so far I know what you mean but there is so much to this degree I am having difficulty see why some find it under rated.

Well said, Bro. Patrick. I have never understood that myself As far as I'm concerned the FC degree is the University of freemasonry.

I think it is because most see it merely as a stepping stone to the Third.

A very shallow appraisal indeed by those who think so.
