I've misplaced my edition of my ritual book, have tried Toye Kenning, Central, Letchworths and others and have had no joy, have been told its out of print as well which isn't encouraging!
So, wanted, one Logic ritual book please!

No, it can take some time for them to come back to production.
I have sent in a trace to see if one can be found at the publishers. I have been able to locate an odd copy in the past. I will let you know when I get the reply.

I picked up my copy while I was in London in January. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the shop but it's across from Freemasons Hall and just a few doors down from the Two Pillars. I also ran over to Lewis Masonic's website and found their Logic page here: www.lewismasonic.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=61In a pinch, and just based on my reading of it, I think you could just squeak by with a copy of Taylor's or Emulation until you're able to find another copy. Oh, and the Logic TBs are wondrously kewl!!

The two shops opposite FMH are Toye Kenning, and Central Regalia, both of which havent had them in stock for a while.
If you do track one down Bill that would be marvellous!
Yes, I could attempt to use Emulsion, however, the tuts from the back benches would drown out any speech!
I like Logic, it is a bit old fashioned, but it is wonderully logical!

It must be a horrible feeling to lose one's Ritual book. I'm not sure how I'd cope if it happened to me.
I hope you are eventually sorted, young Bod.

Id be especially afraid to admit Id been careless with mine (no commen on you having lost yours, I promise) since it used to be in cipher but is now in plain text with certain passages missing. One thing I thought was interesting is that inside the front cover it says that if it is found or if the person who owned it has died, its requested that it be returned to the Grand Lodge. Also the frontis piece clearly states that it is the property of the Grand Lodge, unlike the monitor which gives a little place for you to write your name, lodge number, date if I/P/R, etc.

Here in the UK, AFAIK, the member buys their Ritual Book and it becomes their property. Indeed in many cases anyone can buy a Ritual Book, via the Internet if they wish. Certain words are replaced by ......... or abbreviations are used.
I assume that the Copyright vests in the Governing Body of that Degree or in some cases in an Organisation such as the Taylors Association or the Emulation Lodge of Improvement? As such would the Laws on Intelectual Property apply to them? I have purchased quite a few Masonic Ritual Books, old and new, in second-hand bookshops, car-boot sales, etc and I have never seen any request to return them to a Lodge or Grand Lodge inside any. That must be a US custom.

Hi kt. I am also looking for ritual books - West End Ritual for both EAs & FC's (only). Can't seem to source these anywhere. Help! I could be wrong about this, but so far as I'm aware, the West End ritual has never been published in EA-only or FC-only form. It's not a hugely widely-used Working, so there's probably not enough demand for it to be worth the publisher's while to produce separate EA and FC versions. H.G.W., Huw

Hi Steve. I assume that the Copyright vests in the Governing Body of that Degree or in some cases in an Organisation such as the Taylors Association or the Emulation Lodge of Improvement? As such would the Laws on Intelectual Property apply to them? This is a long time after the question was posted, but for the record: it varies. Copyright of some of the English Workings lies with the custodians of that Working (e.g. the Emulation book is copyright Emulation Lodge of Improvement), but in some other cases the copyright has been bought by the publisher (e.g. the Taylors book is copyright Lewis). Yes, intellectual property law certainly applies, same as other copyright material. So for those who might be tempted to download "free" copies which are (so I'm told) available some places on the 'net, please inform your conscience that such downloads are illegal pirated copies. (Declaration of interest: I am one of the copyright-holders of Emulation, although I get no financial benefit from it.) H.G.W., Huw

Basically if Lewis have it then I have it. There are some technical problems in Lewis right now, they just moved to new premises. Not all ritual are published in EA and FC unless supplied by the Lodge. However with todays technology I dont see why someone could not scan the section and give them out. I have in stock Emulation EA and FC - only in pocket editions. The full book of Emulation and Taylors in Pocket and Large. Stockist will buy that which is purchased most often and that is Taylors and Emulation. Huw is a bit like Simon Cowell he does not have much money either.
