Freemasons of the Caerphilly and Bargoed Lodges will be manning a stall at this year’s Big Cheese festival on 26 and 27 July - if things go to plan we will literally be under the Freemasonry in the Community Banner as we are having one made specially for the event!
If you are in the area pop along and say hello

Congratulations the Brethren who battled the Hot Sun (I know its rare!) and represented Freemasonry in the Community at the Big Cheese.
I called by to say hello and to buy some raffle tickets. I loved the bright Blue T-Shirts with the Square & Compasses! - Where can I get one from??
Anyhow, I hope you had a great time and that you spread awareness to the local community, it sounds like you might have picked up a few potential initiates along the way!
I look forward to seeing you all next year - if not before whilst visiting!
Yours sincerely and fraternally,
Anthony (Mountain Ash) -------------------------------- Craft: #5318, Benefaction, GQS, London [SW] Craft: #7154, Loyalty, Farnborough, (H&IOW). [JW] Chapter: #4057, New Era, Surbiton, Surrey. [2nd AS] Rose Croix: #1095 Coed Duon Chapter, Blackwood, Gwent. 18° [Steward]

Hi Anthony
We actually spoke!
I was the one working the front of the stand - near the music stall - we spoke of another member of your Rose Croix Chapter
The polo shirts we had made for this and similar events

Just realised I didn't answer all your question
We had a number of very interested gentlemen - all of whom lived much closer to other Temples!!!! (Still may be of help to the Craft in general)
We also had a fair bit of interest from ladies about the OWF which meets in Cardiff (we had obtained a small supply of leaflets from them for just such enquiries)
We didn't promote co-masonry as, so far as I have been able to discover there are no co-masonic lodges anywhere in Wales and we were looking at giving local contacts but did flag the existence of the two co-masonic GLs in our information leaflets
At the end of the day, our efforts were directed towards raising awareness rather than recruitment - but we may have planted a few seeds. There have been a small number of initiates through our work at events like this over the last 4-5 years
