Yup, always nice to hear from Bro. Ruff.
And he makes a very good point here. Glad to see it ;D

As a fellow historian I am well aware of the lack of a standardized method of spelling prior to certain dates in certain languages. Shee may well equal She. Considering the context as was presented here, I would say Shee does indeed refer to the female candidate..
I look forward to owning a copy of your book...and reading it.

Just to go back to the main point. Would a slight change in board title help to more clearly explain the use of this area? e.g. Co-Masonry and Women Only Masonry Discussion A discussion area for Female and Mixed Freemasonry

Hi Si
Being a female from a mixed Freemasonry order - I very rarely visit here as I don't see the point of having a division.
On this occasion I just saw my old mate Si posting and thought I would take a peek.

Hello Ma, Long time, no ...... And I quite agree with you. Masonry isn't about divisions in thought, even though our GL's are divided. Although personally I enjoy my male only version, I don't see the point in the restrictions to visiting Co-Masonry by the members of male, female or Co-Masonry. I can understand restrictions, as it stands, on females to male only and vice-versa. But why can't we meet in the middle, so to speak? Or is fraternisation the big disease? So I suppose that as, probably, male Freemasonry is more restrictive in its view, someone thought the others should have their own place marked for discussion, even though we can all look.
I guess we are literally at opposite ends of the earth at the moment, with you in a heatwave and we here, outside London, in lots of snow (for us). We're paralysed, nothing like it for 18 years! Six inches of snow and we're a country for the taking.
Best wishes, Si

Someone did an exercise here once on how many people it would take to take over Australia. Six! Cut communications and we are done.
Re the male female thingy. I have heard male craft masons say that it gives them some relief from 'the' wife.
I have heard some male craft wives say they wouldn't like their husbands going to lodge with other women.
I have heard male craft masons express the fear that illicit relationships might result and that would spoil the craft.
Desperation, fear, adolescence .... are these good reasons for staying in the dark ages?
If one allows the desperate, the fearful and the adolescent set the standard - how far can we go?
I had supposed that Freemasons were supposed to be a DEMONSTRATIVE leaders in building wise, strong and beautiful communities. (The Declaration of Independence just sprang to mind.)

PS ... the wife probably won't want to join you in your masonry, most will be quite happy to kiss you goodbye at the door ;D

"If one allows the desperate, the fearful and the adolescent set the standard - how far can we go?" - Answer: The Labour Party in government (in the UK). Oops, sorry, politics - not allowed.

I find being on this wonderful Masonic journey with my wife has enriched my experience even further and could never imagine life as a Mason any other way.

I used to try and look gloomy when my husband kissed me goodbye ... but he forgot something or other once and came back to find me doing a hoop and hollering dance around 'his' TV remote control. The sad face ruse has not worked since. Maat

May I suggest a title change for this section...a simple little change in things.. instead of; Co-Masonry, Female only Masonry Board
to
Co-Masonry and Female Masonry Board

I think it reads better. I too had wondered about the section when first cruising this board over a year ago.
