I am travelling to Lockerbie with a couple of friends to meet up with Bob C (Mr Mason) I believe we are going to 'Pass The veils' which is something I have wanted to do since I joined The Royal Arch in 1993! We are then going to affiliate to one of his Chapters and also The Mark (I think?) We will also be visited by the Provincial delegation for Chapter on this night which happens to be thier 'Burns Night' Supper!
I am not sure what I am letting myself in for, apparently the B&B we are staying in is one minutes walk from the masonic Hall! (could be a long night!!)
I am looking forward to meeting up once again with Bob and enjoying the delights of Scottish masonry at last!

How marvellous MP. I can confidently predict you will love 'the veils' and will fully appreciate their significance to The Royal Arch workings.
Please pass on my good wishes to Mr Mason (I am not sure how often he visits MFoL).
Cheers Maat

Don't post here that much at the moment Maat but I keep lurking.
I'm glad that Chris has managed to take a trip up and experience "The Veils". Imo a very important degree within, not only the Royal Arch system, but freemasonry in general.

I must thank Bob for being a fantastic Host to me and my two companions, we had a great day and are now proud members of Annandale Chapter No 660 (Scottish Constitution!). Had the added bonus of being given a guided tour from Bob which included a trip to Rabbie Burns Grave and his favourite watering hole. The one memory I will treasure forever though is the look of absolute horror on Bobs face when one of my travelling companions staggered off the train! Priceless! Bobs was thining forward to official visit of the Province ! He did make a remarkable recovery though! And behaved impeccably. Great day Bob, many thanks.

Plus to do it all again the next day, thats the last time I'll refer to you all as "Southern shandy drinkers".
