If a lodge rejects your application on grounds of your ethnicity, colour or religious background then quite frankly they are not practicing freemasonry as it should be and you are well off away from them anyway.
Good luck to you in your search but bear in mind there are many types of Freemasonry; Male Craft, which, as the name suggests is first and foremost men only, then there Women Craft Freemasonry for women only, and then there Co-Freemasonry which accepts both men and women on equal footing.
I am a Co-Freemason myself, as is my wife. I have never heard of any incidence in my Obedience (Grand Lodge) where someone was refuses acceptance simply because of the colour of their skin.
I am sorry but I don't know of lodges in your area but I am sure some of our member will be able to help you soon enough.

As much as I hate to say it, you will be hard pressed to find a Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Georgia that will accept you as a candidate, being African American. Having lived in Georgia for three and a half years, I can tell you that unfortunately Masonic segregation is still alive and well there. I suppose if you have the stomach for it, it's worth a try to break down some barriers, perhaps the Brethren are less backwards up there by Atlanta, but I don't know. You may be better off seeking out the Prince Hall Grand Lodge in Georgia. There are a few other options you might look at as well. The GOUSA has a Lodge in that general area, and I know that there is at least one Co-Masonic Lodge there as well. All of this in the greater Atlanta area...

I am disheartened to learn this is going on in today's society, and Masons with such racialist tendencies are not practicing Freemasonry as I know it. I firmly believe that if one is a racist then they cannot also a Mason – they may well be in name but definitely not in their heart.

I have also found out recently that it comes from all directions too. Recently I have discoved that some members of the Nation of Islam are also Freemasons.
