Well, i am not quite yet Master Elect but God Willing this should hopefully be a formality and then on:
FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2009 at the Sussex Masonic Center in Brighton i hope to be installed as Master of Brighthelmstone Lodge 8042
What with the forthcoming LOI i seem to have revitalised thirst and excitement for my Freemasonry both in and out of Lodge.
So much to Learn still and it has all happened so so quick over the past 5 years JUST LIKE EVERYONE SAID IT WOULD!!!
So if any qualified UGLE brethren fancy a trip to Brighton in December to my Installation then you would al be most welcome. You could do a little Christmas shopping and take a stroll along the seafront with a kiss me quick hat and a stick of candy floss.
Then you could experience the poerful atmosphere, energy and splendor of the amazing Temple with its superby canopied roof and dark wood panelled walls and massive tiled pavement.
I have already given prior notice to Chris Middlepillar and all being well he will be there for my special night as Chris is really considered my number one mentor in freemasonry.
Maybe with some luck i will be most fortunate if i see a few of you on this occassion??
Currently also learning Investiture of Officers right now.

Congratulations Lee on the news of your upcoming position on KS’s Chair. You have advanced well in five short years, a testament to you, and the faith placed in you by your fellow brethren there in Brighton. I won’t be there, naturally, but I will raise a glass at the appropriate time

Hi lee
Geat to see you back on-line! I know you are very busy so I dont know how long you will be 'on-line' for!
I am looking forward to re-visiting Brighthelmstone Lodge, and this time to see you installed in the Chair!
I believe we will be meeting up at least once before that occasion though? Which I am again greatly looking forward too!!

I had the very great pleasure of being present that night and all concerned including Lee made it a night to remember. The Ritual was excellent as was the FB afterwards.
During the ritual and FB my wife was present at a "do" in the same building for wives and partners organised by Lee's charming wife. Later we all got together in the bar until the early hours - yes it really was a fabulous night - as are all my visits to Brighthelmstone Lodge. Its always vey moving when all the members gather around the grand piano to sing the visitors song in their own inimitable way. The night happened to be my birthday and I shall for many a long year remember the kind toast and singing at the FB and later in the bar.
I hope to be at the February meeting which will have a very special resonance for Lee. Thank you Lee and Clair, ever kind and courteous. Ladies Night and the Installation were superb and I look forward to attending other Brighthelmstone events and wish you a rewarding and happy year in the chair.
all the very best
David
