I openly reject the whole "we are all sinners" route. IMHO that kind of severe negative impression that is placed upon us since birth has set back humanity. I cannot stand the idea that sex is ugly and thus we are all born from a filthy "forbidden" act.
We aren't sinners as there is no such thing as real sin (an act against God.) It is about time we as a society toss out such draconian and repressive beliefs.
Love and Light,

I'm with you. Sinners, be blowed. All children fall down, and then get up again. The loving parent will aid them if necessary. The loving wise parent will also limit aid as the child matures, so that it has opportunity to gain strength and confidence.

I can not agree, people may have different views of whats right and wrong. We call whats wrong sin. As a Christian I must admit I am a sinner to recieve God,s grace through Jesus Christ.

Leaves you with quite a debt to pay doesn't it? I know I never asked anyone to die for me, I don't want to have to pay that bill. Love and Light,

I never did either Christ died without any of our input. I know that you have some deep hurtfull feelings towards God and, I truly do not want to criticize you. The thing is there is no bill! It is a free gift. We are his children.

It is a free gift. We are his children. I wouldn't say that I have "deep hurtful feelings about God." I would say that I just don't see any reason to believe in the man made ones. ;D Love and Light,

I know that you are into the occult, That is man made. I do respect your opinion I never argued that it wasen't. I don't "worship" through the occult as I do not "worship" anything. I do feel that "if" there is a Creator (I have a reasonable acceptance to this but I would not call it belief) any being that huge and monumental in scope would have no need for my worship. If fact I would guess that the Creator wouldn't notice my worship given the sense of scale. FYI: If your a Freemason then you are into the Occult as well. You may not want to recognize or acknowledge this but that doesn't make it any less of a fact. Love and Light,

Christianity was once considered an Occult, it might have been a better if it stayed that way. True Christianity is not religion its relationship. but enough about that. I was raised in a penecostal form of Christianity I think that some of the things comming from that, are more disturbing then Occult practices as you call Freemasonry. I think it just makes you feel more alive to believe insomthing greater than yourself. I do hold a firm belief in Christ but in how it is practiced today I differ from the norm.

Thread now reopened.
Unfortunately I had to remove some quite un-Masonic comments, and some other comments in response to them, apologies for the latter but I feel you'll appreciate the actions taken.

One thing that has always appealed to me about Freemasonry is that it truly does allow us to "worship deity according to the dictates of our own conscience" While I consider myself Christian, I've looked into myself several different times is search of myself. There is a book called "One path, Many mountains" that I like an awful lot. I think it is the responsibility of Masons in Masonry to help foster each individual quest for enlightenment through their religion, if that is the path they choose

Dante If you are still around after all that is written on this thread. Going back to your original questions. No Freemasonry is not a Religion - Are there things in Freemasonry that you might not like - yes there maybe, only you will know that. Freemasonry lets you make decisions and hold views that you feel appropriate. I would suggest you let your own instinct guide you.
