Love and Light, Brad It is this Forums Policy that we do not comment on any GL recognised or not, what goes on in any GL is that GL's business and not one that should be commented on. I will leave it as a 'news' item, I do not want any further comments please. Thanks for understanding

Bro.Chris, No problem as this post was strictly informational. I wish the GOUSA well as I do the lodges who are now independent . I offer them all my support. Love and Light,

Since Brad wants info, I figured I would add to it. Defections or removals? Do you have inside info? Some masons may not be cut out for Orient Masonry, and unlike mainstream, not just anyone can be a member? From the blog tubulcain420.blogspot.com/ : "GOUSA Council of Order, 9/19/2009 @ Halcyon Temple I hope to be able to express how this weekends Council of Order meeting of the GOUSA impacted myself, the others who attended and the future of Orient Free-Masonry in America. The idea that men from different obediences can come together without prejudice or segregation. We had Free Masons from 6 different orders able to meet all on the Level, accomplish an historical business meeting, Alchemically Wed Halcyon and the GOUSA together with the rest of its members, and initiate two quality individuals into a Triangle in Washington DC. Masons were able to see and feel what Halcyon Temple can mean to Freemasonry and that is was worth the struggles we have faced as a group. From afar, many questioned Halcyons stance to defend their Temple from destruction, but once inside, any True mason would have done the same. www.halcyontemple.org/temple.htmIt had a feeling of what it might have been like in 1717, where there were not any Grand Lodges existing yet, to have been able to put forth rules and edicts that seperate masons by terms of regularity or irregularity and beliefs. It truly was wonderful and enlightening. It was wonderful to have men from all over the country congregate at our facility to embark on this journey. The main thing for me that was accomplished was that the GOUSA cemented the fact American Grand Orient Free Masonry is a 3 degree system only. We will all be Master Masons who meet on the Level, not 32nds, Knigh Templars, KYCH's, Royal Arch Masons and whatever other "High" Grade that has been invented by men to create an unlevel environment. All Higher degrees can be studied for Light, not a Title or point of recognition where some Grand Priory or Grand High Coucil doles out degrees's above Master Mason. It was fascinating to see, as well as to be a part of the old ritual we conferred on the two aspirants from DC. I could only imagine the impact this ritual would have on a sincere aspirant, and the effect it would have made on a man centuries ago. The trials of the Elements, CoR and the cast of characters that are needed to portray this ritual and the willingness of all the brothers to initiate the aspirants was humbling! Brother Peace and the Brothers of Sirius, who have worked this ritual for awhile, really do a great job and exude a zeal for initiation that was absent in our pasts. This ritual is not for the lazy and disinterested. It takes certain character to be able to stay focused and remain interested in a potential 3-4 hour initiation! It was memorable, and I look forward to future gatherings and the working of different rituals when we come together in the future. The Light that was gained after this weekend can only grow brighter within all who participated and hopefully it will spread to others! I want to thank all who attended, and also to those who sent postive thoughts to us from afar, it was felt and appreciated. To my French Brothers, I cannot wait to break bread with you again, and meet with all your brother's from Lafayette 89, Washington, D.C. ,GOdF! It was great to hear the French accents in the ritual... it was a great addition! PS: The Spirits of Halcyon surely smiled upon us this weekend! As it is stated on our Temple: This building is dedicated and consecrated to the Spirit of Freemasonry! That was accomplished this weekend! So Mote It Be" According to 2 Bowl Cain, they seemed to have a productive weekend. Maybe there is more behind your revelation... Thank you for sharing this with us.

Nope, no inside information from me. I am glad they had a great weekend, good for them. I do find it curious that Euclid Lodge (one of the original founding two) and home of the Grand Secretary either defected or was removed.
But other than that, no worries.
Love and Light,

I have just deleted several posts because they are basically full of c**p
I will repeat what I have posted elsewhere.
Do you think you could stop the stupid one-liners! The whole world and his brother knows that there are those that dont get on with one another do you really have to keep proving it by trying to go one better all the time? For those not in the game its getting just a little boring and for those having to moderate its getting even more so.
If you really want to p**s each other off can you do it between yourselves out of this Forums view point?
I will also repeat what I posted several Months ago and what everyone should know by now.
We welcome all masons from whatever GL they belong to, no matter what thier allegiance no matter how many members, no matter what there 'beliefs'. We will not allow members to be chased off of this Forum or bullied off. I am addressing every member of this Forum and no individual in particular.

I looked at the GOUSA web site and see that they have added the lodge in Alabama that wasn't on their roster as well. It's probably old news, but new to me as I have just now looked. I wonder how a lodge re affiliates with a Grand Lodge. I find it very interesting

" I wonder how a lodge re affiliates with a Grand Lodge."
Now what make you think, VT Mason, that they would want or need to re-affliate to any GL? They may well decide to remain Independent and on another thread there is a list of such Lodges and I would assume there are more which do not seek publicity.

The recent trend though seems to be leave one Grand Lodge to join another. The other thread doesn't really get into the particulars that have me curious either. The only lodge I have personally seen that isn't affiliated with a Grand Lodge never was part of one in the first place.

To be an independent lodge is just about the hardest path you can choose. There is no hierarchy, chain of superior command, established guidebook to follow. If a problem arises you simply cannot flip to section A-14 of your Masonic Code for the answer. You have to come together, talk things through and decide mutually the best course of action. I will tell you a little from my own experience. When we founded Lodge Napoleon Bonaparte there was four of us. Myself the least experienced member. We all shared a passion so we started to promote what we where doing. We started to attract some really dynamic individuals from PHA Masonry. These guys where all brilliant, very sharp. Some where also published authors. They seemed more than enthusiastic about us. Things where looking fantastic. Come to find out that one of them had founded an Organization with strong militaristic Black nationalism undertones. Come to find out that they where a radical offshoot of another radical group, the Nation of Islam. This was a very bad situation. Luckily we through the guidance and wisdom of our Worshipful Master (with 20 years of experience in the Craft and a three time PM) we where able to difuse the bomb before the bomb went off and our work demolished before it had begun. Work within a system that has been difined and has iron clad rules is reassurance for most. Love and Light,

Love and Light, magusmasonica, are you a spokesman for the GOUSA or have you been assigned as it's watch dog for new "news", so you can post any little blip on the radar? You seem infatuated with the GOUSA and seem to post any little hiccup that arises from their website? Have you asked the moderators to start a GOUSA section that is strictly monitored by you? Love and Light, where did you snag that tag line?

Love and Light, Why are you not shouting the loss of these members in a new thread, "Defections from Memphis -mizriam" blah blah blah.... you only post and follow GOUSA news? I do not understand..... Maybe the fellows who "defected" or were "removed" from the GOUSA turned out to be similar to the fellows you had problems with? Agenda's different from original purpose? Keep an eye on your own west gate and not worry so much about anothers business......

Seeing that those who seem to be leaving where founders it is hard to imagine that they had "agenda's different than the original purpose" yadda, yadda, yadda. Why so defensive? If you would like to report on defections from the MEAPRMM/GOE or Lodge Napoleon Bonaparte please do so. That would not make me upset in the slightest. I would be happy to give my take should such situations arise as well as inviting the other side of the story in order for everyone to make up thier own minds given the information. Get on your game Teddy. Love and Light,

Specifically from you, brad. You seem to have a finger on their pulse. What exactly is the point of this post? From previous posts it seems you dont appreciate Brad offering opinion on The GOUSA, and now after about 3 weeks of inactivity you post this! Are you really that bored? I will leave it for a day and then delete it, I cannot see any other reason to keep it here.

I see no reason for this either, other than intentionally contrived to cause a disharmonious reaction, that is.

yep, I am that bored. No attempt at recieveing a disharmonious reaction. Just wanted an update! This thread was started with a purpose, just trying to keep it moving. You see no reason in deleting a dead thread, so I figured I'd jump start it again and give Brad an opportunity to give us all a GOUSA update.
Nothing nefarious.......sorry you took it that way, just have been waiting, thats all?
