This has been said for as long as i can remember. I have lately been discussing these issues on religious websites looking for more insight to this dilema. Many unknowingly think the caliph might be the root of the problem but you would be mostly wrong. The caliph represents politicaly and religiousely. As a current caliph you would be required to apeal to both sides of your countries way of life, but the current way of life leaves little room for the caliph to act and not have reprocussions from one side. This doesnt allow the political side to peak because the religious side stunts that growth by death or many other means. I think if the muslim leaders want to come out of this with their heads held high something needs to happen concerning their religious divide. America joining as a third party is probably only pouring salt in this wound especialy since we are doing more trading then talking. Also i think the reason it has gotten so bad is the influence religiousely on the other side of muslim has been hindu, or budhist and the extreme of peace. So the converts bound by their spirit to do no harm to anyone were up against people that had every reason to die trying to convince or end you. I offer them all my prayers in finding a way to bring their sides together but i don't know enough about the sides to even say if its a possiblity.

This area has been in a constant flux, long before words like Muslim, Christian, and Jewish. There's a better way-the way that is rarely tried.

I think in most cases to even know what to do on your mentioned side it takes a knowledge of consequence and most aren't willing to face the ones that come from meddling with religious beliefs "untill more recent times" due to the understanding of why they were mentioned. there is a interesting picture of a poll on this thread, if you notice the two sides are comming to a peak on middle ground. www.religiousforums.com/forum/general-religious-debates/99989-religion-decline.html

We should not meddle with religious beliefs unless those beliefs violate or endanger the rights or lives of others. Coming to a middle ground ain't so hard, but as said before it has rarely been attempted. I do not see any definition concerning what 'religion' is exactly in the poll, which should be clearly defined before any useful information at all might be produced. There are as many definitions of the word as there are people. ;D
For example, I do not consider myself 'religious', though I am a proponent of many 'religious' thinkers and do not automatically dismiss their claims based on their chose profession. Many devout members of synagogues, temples, churches, &c. I am aware of and a few I know do not consider themselves 'religious'. These facts can greatly skew the results of any such a poll.

i believe it was mainly jewish and christian, christian was black and jewish was dark green "the only one that doesnt move a whole lot" the two that were comming to a point were christians and "not sure". Regardless of saying your not religious you support the thoughts that encourage peace wich to me is religious. The benefit of being religious is seeing your acts come to fruit in a possitive way in the people. By being who you are and doing good you are doing the work of growth and i see that as the work of God "deity". I consider myself religious but i could never tell you wich religion it is i practice because every situation needs its own perspective and can't be dealt with in any one way. However the majority of my quotes will come from religious books because they intend a good cause but it has to be executed likewise.
