In my lodge their names are Merrill, Albert, and Jim. Unless somebody is absent. Then Troy stands in for Merrill, Dick for Jim, and Bill for Merrill.

Ahiram, Romvel, Gravelot or Hobbden.... As I posted a while ago - some are analogues of Charles I's antagonists. Here the clearest one is Romvel. I am afraid I know little about the Civil war and I am unwilling to learn about it - but perhaps someone else out there can recognize other characters in these names?

It was an interesting account that you wrote, but not entirely without problems. For example the names Jubela etc show a Hindu influence that may well date from the 17th or 18th century when the British were in India - unless of course you have a prior source for those names.
