As a conservative and 2nd amendment-supporting American I'm alarmed at some of the disingenuous reporting by the news media and TV personalities regarding mass shooting events as of late.
Is it wrong for a blue lodge brother to point out inconsistencies in these stories?

It seems that regular mass shootings started in the US after 1960.
The most obvious suspects are the widespread use of antidepressants and use of mind control methodologies.

But is it okay to let the profane know of the theatrical nature of some of these "events?"

It is well known that militarized and emergency agencies often have realistic practice events but not all events are practices.
What events are you particularly concerned about?
And why would Freemasons have any particular connection?

I'm concerned about the Florida school shooting which has people calling for gun control in America. I know we're discouraged from talking about politics but maybe other lodges or rites have different views about the gun control issue. Sometimes I talk with conservative friends about what is and isn't "fake news."

>I know we're discouraged from talking about politics
This tradition started in 1717 when 4 lodges in London broke away and formed their own Grand Lodge that was loyal to the German king of Britain.
At the time most lodges were sympathetic to the Scottish Stuart line even though the British establishment claimed that that bloodline had ceased.
In addition the British passed legislation against secret societies so that the English Freemasons had to present themselves as very much non-political to avoid being caught by the legislation.
European Freemasons were much more political and active in trying to improve society. For example the early members of mixed Freemasonry were very active in the women's liberation movement.
These days there seems little problem with social reformer Freemasons but it does remain important in most countries that religious discussion is kept out of the lodge room.

Now I'm convinced the Florida shooting is undoubtedly 100% fake, yet the government and media are going along with the story and we are losing our 2nd amendment. Should I just accept this?

"Mass shootings in the US: there have been 1,624 in 1,870 days" www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2017/oct/02/america-mass-shootings-gun-violenceThey can't all be fakes. "Americans use more medicines than people in other developed countries. They rank first for their use of antipsychotics " Here is the real problem: "Despite 27 international drug regulatory warnings on psychiatric drugs citing effects of mania, hostility, violence and even homicidal ideation, and dozens of high profile shootings/killings tied to psychiatric drug use, there has yet to be a federal investigation on the link between psychiatric drugs and acts of senseless violence. " www.cchrint.org/psychiatric-drugs/drug_warnings_on_violence/Big Pharma has bought too many politicians.
