Martinism is an esoteric school of thought akin to Judeo-Christian mysticism.
This cocept id brought to us tonight by our Brother Jean-Pierre of the Martinist Lodge: The Word No.7.
The concept goes back to Joachin Martinès de Pasqually, founder in 1761, of the Masonic Order of Chamonix, Elected Cohens of the Universe; then to his secretary, Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin known as the unknown philosopher, famous for his book Tableau naturel des rapports qui existent entre Dieu, l’homme et l’univers (1782). The word "Martinism" plays on the proper names Martinès and Saint-Martin.
A friend of Louis-Claude of St-Martin, Jean-Baptiste WILLERMOZ, also plays an important role and put the foundations of the Scottish Rectified Rite, the synod of Wilhelmsbad in July 1782. Martinez de Pasqually is buried near Léogane in Haiti.
The Freemason makes work for himself, Martinism makes the workman work with the invisible forces for the greater good of the Universe.

ky: We are establishing a new lodge and are in need of some items. Where is a good place to find such items that doesn't break the bank?

jasonmark: Hello. My name is Jason. I am not yet a Freemason but am being initiated on 7th October of this year and I want to learn a little more (as far as that is permitted) about what I am joining. I hope it is ok for me to join at this point. My apologies if not.
