Do you know the painting The Three Philosophers by Giorgione? With Giorgione no detail is irrelevant. This painting gives great rewards to those who study it very closely.

I have been looking for concealed shapes but not spotted any so far.
Is the identity known for the house in the background?

Apprentice of the craft wondering in adolescents lost in darkness. The scroll, Luna our intuitive nature with a 4th degree mason peering at the missing piece of parchment held by the master. The masonic cycle of life. The names of the three depicted, that’s fun... In a more modern approach, the buildings represent mans kingdom from a blue land or ancient craft lodge thereof. The cave, a lurking darkness being in a discernible state, although still presenting a threat. Above the darkness, his adolescent disciples. The dark disciples gazing on the kingdom they were promised. We are all in the weight of dark and light. -F.A.T

Here is a complex image (somewhat cropped) including alchemical and Egyptian symbolism. See if you can find the messeh (crocodile), the fat of which was used for anointing kings and messiahs. Note that the fugitive stag is resting and looking out of the scene.
If you find a better image you can see that the messeh is also a sun boat.
There are 18th degree references.
Try sitting in the position depicted. It is not comfortable. What does the position mean?
Notice how long is the second toe
The peak in the distance is quite unusual. Where is it?

The crocodile, the doe and the pointing finger all in the direction of ascension. The dark stag is content here. The mountain, Mount Sinai, Jebel Musa, on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. The Greek foot, ancient Greeks had the Golden formula. In this rendering, ascension is being cast out by Paganism. Funny because having this toe causes debilitating pain and long term complications. This is a good example of man fractionating theology. The fingers alignment, out and down with.
A young Cronus and staff.
In closing, if the toes were in Egyptian mathematics (toes graduating) it would allude to to a different script such as earlier suggested.
Your thoughts?

Here's a clue about the crossed legs The characters are Cautes and Cautopates. At the pedestal of Cautes I was taught to be cautious.
The text under the lower figures is an advertisement for the person that paid for the statues.

I thought the man in gold could be King Solomon. However, Solomon died at about 60 and that man looks older than 60. Some people think Solomon was 80 when he died.
The man in the centre is holding his thumb to his navel.
It's possible that the three men could be different representations of the same man.

Three philosophers
All three are on a tiered platform Two hold compasses, the oldest resembles Plato, The youngest is admiring a cave( resembles a bearded shadow man) perhaps the allegory. He also has no interest in the other two individuals it seems
The parchment is an odd shape, by design? or found deteriorated? The parchment shows a sun, then a large oval crescent (Crescent of the East)
There are two separate structures in the painting The youngest also holds a square, wearing green. Fitting since green represents joy, youth, nature, growth..his facial expression also portrays it. May could be associated with green, and growth

Did you find the pentagram? There are clearly two pentagrams.

Clearly what do the two pentagrams represent to you? More specifically, what is the spirit or energy being evoked as drawn?
Fun to entertain who the shadowy figure is on the side of left elbow.

I think it's important to notice how the foliage changes.

Take it easy on me Polymath would best describe my foliage. Been busy defining my own sight and purpose, not sure of my chosen path yet. Sorry if you took offense to the description (St. John), I was just being bored. I have not yet been taught to see, this is the best I could come up with. This was near center encompassed in the masonic symbol.
>Clearly what do the two pentagrams represent to you?
for me it is central to the Seal of Solomon

This would be a good leaning moment to share. Peter you expressed >Would you like to point them out? Yes, and also your method of search reasoned. Its been a while but, I once was in search of a chalice. There are many layers to consider. I would like to bring some forward to pass. Offramp, what was your reasoning for this thread? Or am I not welcome?

...Offramp, what was your reasoning for this thread? Or am I not welcome? The reason for this thread was to point out a painting which might depict Hiram Abiff, Hiram King of Tyre and King Solomon.
