Hello. My name is Jason. I am not yet a Freemason but am being initiated on 7th October of this year and I want to learn a little more (as far as that is permitted) about what I am joining. I am quite excited about joining. I wish I had discovered it a little earlier in life (I am 41).
I am originally from the north of England but am currently living in the south-east. The lodge I am joining is part of the United Grand Lodge of England.
I hope it is ok for me to join at this point. My apologies if not and I will withdraw and come back when I am initiated.

Welcome Jason. Personally the best thing you can do at this stage is not to try to find out. The reason is two-fold - firstly it will spoil the surprise and secondly Freemasonry differs from Lodge to Lodge so you may learn something that you are looking forward to, and on the night find out that it is not part of that Lodges ritual.
