I realise that asking " What will I wear" is a somewhat ironic question from someone who has chosen to call herself gipsyrose. However, as my initiation approaches I find myself preoccupied by this perennial question.
I have been advised that for the ceremony I may choose between a white long dress, or white top and white long skirt or pants. So I find myself wondering which of these will I choose, in what style, and what fabric? Do I choose a white on white pattern in the fabric? What shoes? What colour shoes? It's autumn here and definitely getting cooler. Will I need a jacket? Do I make that white as well? Do I go as far as having a white bag? Where do I find things in white at this time of year? etc. etc. When I met people at the temple we were all dressed very casually, so I have no real idea as to what is appropriate.
So your thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations would be much appreciated, particularly from those of you in comasonic or women-only lodges.

Hi Gypsyrose
In Melbourne - they wear white from head to toe. Fabric, style etc etc are unimportant. White slacks are easy to come by - much easier than finding a long white skirt. White casual walking shoes are easy to find, think the cheap shops or sports stores. You don't take a bag into Lodge so it doesn't matter what colour it is. It is not a fashion show - so buy what you feel comfortable in. Clothing is really secondary in Freemasonry.
As suggested, and for your own peace of mind, run all this by your proposer, as suggested.
You will be fine - just relax and enjoy the experience.
Cheers Maat
