I do not know of any Lodges in Australia operating under A.U.M. - so am not sure from whence Futuwwa thinks that this US-based working 'must' include NZ or Aust..

Hi jmd, It's been a long time since I was active here as I have to devote considerable time to my new job in which I am once again an Employee rather than self employed. Sorry i missed you in Auckland, same reason.
A.U.M, has been set up in Auckalnd, but only there in NZ I understand. Several former members of LDH have joined. When there was a 'Seven Rays' (principally Alice Bailey Group) Convention in Christchurch about 8 years ago, they tried to establish A.U.M. here also, but there was insufficient interest. I was invited to be part of that, but did not feel comfortable with their take on Freemasonry, nor their view it should openly be proffered to any "walk in". Also they wanted large sums to set the grouping up, and for study purposes if I remember correctly.
As the 'Seven Rays' group is so strong in Aussi, I would expect that there is an A.U.M. there somewhere.
Alice Bailey first founded A.U.M. arround the 1940's I think but this fell foul to the W.W. It has since (about 1980's) been resuccitated by an English or American Guy living in the States.
Cheers, Hubert

AUM is in Australia. I attended their public launch in Sydney and denounced it (this is not the place to share my reasons). Despite my misgivings, I provide this link, which includes a list of their lodges.

jmf Referring to the Website of A.U.M. there must be lodges in Sydney and Brisbane and one in Auckland. Some others in the USA and one in Scotland. Hubert Alice Baily founded A.U.M.? Together with other masons from LDH? Was A.B. initiated in LDH or by her husband who was an AF&AM mason? Do you have further information about that? Thank you!

Hubert I googled A.U.M. und found out that a "Keith Bailey" is named as the founder of A.U.M.. he also follows the "Alice A. Bailey's" Seven Rays"- Philosophy.
Is Keith Bailey a son or grandson of Foster Bailey? A.A. Bailey got divorced in the 1910s from a priest named Evans with wheom she had three daugthers. A child with both Bialeys as parents is not reported. Keith Bailey seems to be alive, so he must be a grandson of one.
Can you give us more light?

Thanks for the information - just goes to show that even when one tries and keep up to date with various developments, some interstate ones get missed.
Quite frankly, I'm actually surprised it has been picked up here - but then, the 'here' is a thousand kilometres away!
At first, I thought that one of the Victorian (non-Melbourne) co-masonic Lodges may have perhaps joined it.

BTW: Getting nearer and nearer to the Interview. Will have to stay overnight at an hotel, but it will be worth it. Travelling distance is no big deal...a few changes and a taxi, a hotel and back home the following day. If Terry pops into this site : MANY THANKS.

You get your interviews in person? Sweet! I got to actually meet only one lodge member before they voted to accept me and it made for much strangeness at the time. I'm glad they're not doing the arm's length thing with you.
Good luck to you!! ;D
