I am from an A.F.&A.M. lodge. I'm sure you are familiar with our 3rd Degree Obligation. There is a part in there about carnal <youknow>. Is it the same in Co-Masonry?

Greetings TravelingmanB2 and welcome to Masonic Forum of Light.
Generally speaking, as a Ob*ted Freemason, I don't discuss the contents of my Ob*tion in such a public forum. The Ob* itself - in all Obediences I am aware of - direct us not to.
I recommend you get privately with a Co-Mason you know, and who knows you, and ask them.

While I cannot speak for Co-Masons, trying to read between the lines, I suspect you may be concerned along the lines Mackey expressed (p.1013), in writing, ' And many of them [Regulations] would be wholly inapplicable to women', to which I replied, saying: While alleging many regulations within the Old Constitutions would be ‘wholly inapplicable to women’, Mackey fails to give any examples of such regulations. Even so, we may surmise that what he had in mind were those which charge masons to respect the chastity of their fellow masons’ female relatives.
Referring ... to Toulmin Smith’s English Gilds, we find that such respect is commonly required of male members even in other organisations that also explicitly refer to female members. For instance, the regulations of the Guild of the Holy Trinity and St. Leonard at Lancaster, refers to ‘the brethren and sisteren of the gild’, yet in them we read: ‘No one of the gild shall wrong the wife or daughter or sister of another, nor shall allow her to be wronged so far as he can hinder it’ (T. Smith, p.163). References: Mackey, Albert Gallatin, 1917 (org. 1874), Encyclopedia of Freemasonry and its Kindred Sciences Comprising the Whole Range of Arts, Sciences and Literature as Connected with the Institution, McClure Publishing, Philadelphia Smith, Toulmin (Editor), 1963 (org. 1870), English Gilds: The Original Ordinances of More than One Hundred Early English Gilds Together with Ye olde Usages of ye Cite of Wynchestre The Ordinances of Worcester The Office of the Mayor of Bristol and The Costomary of the Manor of Tettenhal=Regis from Manuscripts of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Centuries, with intro. & glossary, etc. by L.T. Smith and an essay by L. Brentano, Oxford University Press, London (for The Early English Text Society)

If you are from the US, be aware that the rituals and ceremonies that we use are based mostly on the Preston-Webb lectures adopted after the US Civil War. Many parts of the UK and use a ritual known as "Emulation," named after the lodge in which it originated. Other obediences use different rituals that do not reference anything like that to which you refer. One of these days I'm going to try to get copies of all of these different rituals, just to compare the similarities and differences.

Bro. Bill has copies of them thru his website. There's also Lewis Masonic. And, on occasion, EBay (I recently picked up a 1961 copy of "Nigerian Ritual" from EBay (looks like Emulation to me). Yup, comparison is wonderful. I enjoy it very much. I always bear in mind that where ritual is similar is the relevance. Where it differs are the keys. I also like to make charts

Yup, that's the one. With the Preface by Lionel Brett, then District Grand Master of Nigeria. In the very front is a hand written congrats to a newly initiated Brother, dated 1969. However, I can tell by the crispness of the binding, the perfect white of the pages and the single crease in the place ribbon that this book was seldom, if ever after, opened. In almost 40 years. Which is sad, in its way. But it's mine now I'm waiting for my check ;D
