I stole this from another place Go to the following URL and take a close look at this famous plate (engraving) of Heinrich Khunrath in 'Work' & 'Worship'. www.library.wisc.edu/libraries/SpecialCollections/khunrath/labdetail1750.htmlLook under the altar table within the tent. On the lintle of the fireplace you will also find 2 examples ot the tetrahedron, and on the chair within the centre of the picture you will see a diamond symbol (60° & 120°). The symbols upon his sanctum altar are also interesting and probably relate to 2 of his other plates. ;D How many Masonic symbols can you find

Well, I can see the Dome of the Vault from Royal Arch and the Catenarian Arch itself, various Working Tools, a Thurnel, a Doorway which may lead to the Middle Chamber, although there is no winding staircase that I can see. There is a Dormer, a Chequered Pavement, various Pillars although not as described in KST. A Blazing Star in the Ceiling, and the Throne or Chair has the S&Q on its back, and a Skull.
Some of the other items may feature in Alternative Freemasonry such as LDH etc, or in Orders I am not in.

The Pythagorian Tetraktys can be seen on the right below the end of the sign "Laboratorium", and then again further right.
Azoth as the name of a container onto one of the shelves on the right.

Well, there's a still, for the spirit, so the bar must be open. There's a bellows, to keep the Provincial visitors full of hot air. There's plenty of lute on the table, so they must have just taken the raffle (hence the fiddle also), and that must be bottles of cheap booze on the shelves as prizes. I also think I see a pyramid of Ferrero Rocher somewhere. Judging by all the smoke, someone's just burned the pies, and that's why the wee drunk IPM is swaying on his knees singing Sum wherr ower the rainbow, wherrz ra pies?.

The words on the rafters say sine afflatu divino nemo unquam vir magnus, which sort of translates as "Without God's breath [in him], no man can ever become great", a reference to the animation of Adam by the divine pneuma, and a kind of pun on the theme of inflation (see the bellows).
The words over the arched doorway are dormiens vigila, "Keep watch while asleep", a seeming paradox, in fact a watchword of mental discipline.
The words on top of the baldachin read oratorium, felix cui a consiliis, "A place of prayer, happy for him from [= who has taken] advice".
The words on the tracing-board under the baldachin read ne loquaris de Deo absq[ue] lumine, "You will not speak of God except in the light".
The motto on the coat of arms over the fireplace is a little hard to read, but seems to say nec temere nec timide, "Neither to fear nor be afraid", a bit of a tautology if you ask me. Underneath that it says laboratorium, "workshop".
The inscription running around the fireplace goes: sapienter retentatum [?error for retenutum], succedet aliquando. Part of this may be out of sight, but what there is seems to say "Wisely held back, it happens at last".
This reads at first like someone advocating Tantric sex, but I think it's about the time it takes to accomplish the Great Work - hmm, maybe it is about Tantric sex after all.
The words on the bases of the two pillars are ratio, Reason, and experientia, Experience, the two logical tools which, like the fire, winnow away dross to reveal the facts.
Under the altar it says disce bene mori, "Learn well how to die".
On the still it says festina lente, "More hurry, less speed" (literally, "Make haste slowly").
On the tablecloth it says an awful lot I can't make out for all the crosshatching. musica sancta ... spiritus ... gaudio, etc., "Holy music ... the sprit ... rejoicing". You get the idea.
I can't read what it says on the coalbucket.

Perhaps a more appropriate question is not how many Masonic symbols are there displayed, but how many of these symbols has Freemasonry progressively incorporated and adopted in its various degrees and appendent orders in its development over the past centuries... showing Freemasonry to really be the repository of much of western esoteric lore.

Greetings whistler, If you would like to build your own 'tetrahedron' just purchase 20 table tennis balls, and form a triangular base with the first 10, then place the next 6 on top together, then 3, with the last one on top. Well worth further study and meditation.
