In this time of change and reflection we ask yourselves what where the things that attracted us to the Freemasonry and ask for the Masonic Light to be shed upon us.
Was it:
A - social,
B - was it the festive board;
C- was it the charity;
D - was the regalia,
E - was the esoteric and upper symbolism of the Masonic Tradition in Freemasonry along with its secrets and mysteries immemorial;
F - or other reasons.
Food for thought.

What actually drew my attention to Masonry was seeing the local Co-M lodge listed in the phone book. I then drove past the lodge building and saw wobbly line of Sirius energy coming into the building.
Based on that I applied to join.
The line did get stronger and more direct for a while.
Cheers

Robert No of the things on your list. I know when (using Masonic words) the G.A.O.T.U.) puts something in front of you, it is worth checking out. I knew nothing about Masonry, A visit to a Naturopath introduced me to Freemasonry - the rest is history

I don't know really what attracted me to become a Co Freemason, one day about three years ago I thought I will see how the old place is going and stood out side the door. All of a sudden I thought I am going to be a Manson. Now for me that was a leap of faith as the Theosophical society and myself had part ways in a very jagged way years earlier and I knew I would course waves by applying to join Co Freemasonry. Well it did and to their credit the current members took a leap of faith by accepting me. In reply to the original question it was E - the esoteric and upper symbolism of the Masonic Tradition in Freemasonry along with its secrets and mysteries immemorial.

Quite a defining question, really. For me it's A and C.

Initially it was A, as after 17 years in the army I missed the Mess functions; but having an interest in history I found (E) the symbolism and possible links to things long gone to irresistible to not follow up on. And then of course there is the time spent with, in the main, like minded people.
