I started this in the Moonstruck thread but it is a different topic
Anyway recently I have become uncertain as to which way the Blazing Star should be oriented when it is in the mosaic pavement. (Arguably the blazing star descends into the pavement as the candidate is raised)
Should the blazing star have one point to the east or two?
It is easy enough to provide an explanation for each. But then the active mind can explain (away) anything it wishes. So an explanation is not necessarily evidence - unless it gives rise to another hypotheses that can be tested.
So I would be interested in actual examples that brethren have seen of mosaic pavements with blazing stars.
Cheers

Yes that is what I think but I just visited a lodge last week where the blazing star in the pavement had only one point to the east

Assuming that the BS descends vertically from southeast, it will have the right horizontal point and the right inferior one slightly turned to east.

In most Temples I have attended which have the Blazing Star on the floor the top point is towards the WM in the East.
