"The ongoing debate over the possible existence and modus operandi of a conscious, all-knowing creator proceeds unabated, with contributors from all disciplines lining up to have their say. However, owing to a specific sequence of events which led me on a solitary quest which was to last nearly fifteen years, I believe I have found a way of understanding what might really be going on in and around us. And ultimately, if I am right, the future looks not all bad. What is more, in this particular scheme of things, God is tangible, very much alive, and undeniably omnipresent. Strange as this may seem, this whole scenario can all be explained with numbers." So starts a recent article in New Dawn Magazine - THE HERMETIC UNIVERSE - by Michael Hayes. www.newdawnmagazine.com.au/articles/Hermetic%20Universe.htmlI was particularly interested in the 'music' section where we find the 'Three within the Four' and the 'Seven within the Eight' ... and that Seven together make Eight. I cannot find a co-relation in Masonry with the number Sixty Four. The nearest I can get is that 64 taken an octave higher = 72. Any suggestions?

Pythagoras tells us that numbers are alive - entities in their own right.
And that is my experience too.
If so, what is the relationship between number consciousnesses and the solar logoi?
As I recall, this solar system is reputedly a fourth order solar system. Does that mean we come within the body of the being of four-ness?
Perhaps we can visualise The Source as having multiple facets each of which manifests the sound/song of a particular number
The various songs intertwine to form density and bodies of manifestation.

Russell - an interesting concept... I was still marvelling at the apron and flap aspect of the three in four.... Re your statement "The various songs intertwine to form density and bodies of manifestation - one of my favourite books is called Stalking the Wild Pendulum and postulates on the intersection of sounds and its effects. Below is a book review worth reading. For anyone interested - Itzhak Bentov has a unique ability to take complex concepts and explaining them in a clear and precise manner. www.psychicsahar.com/artman/publish/article_66.shtmlMaat
