Just to let everyone know I have a new (family) website. It's still under construction but is starting to take shape. It is mainly a family site but as there's been much interest in my successful weight-loss there is also a full explanation of my diet with before and after photos. Please visit and offer any suggestions you think will improve things. NB...As it isn't a Masonic site I have posted the link here rather than in either of the links sections www.patrickcawley.com

Thank you. He is a fine little chap, alright, and a pure joy to be around. But at the moment the poor fellow is a bit unwell. He's currently experiencing difficulty keeping his food down, especially milk. We know he'll be the finest (the doctor says so) but understandably we're bit anxious for this to be behind him.

Warm chicken broth and, after his tummy settles a bit, do try soy milk. I hope he's better soon

Thank you. Someone else suggested soy milk, so we tried it. Didn't do any good but your advice about waiting until his tummy is better might be the way to go That chicken broth sounds yummy! Might try that myself, as well

Indeed it is. Even better is my mother's tonic:
One part honey One part lemon juice One part whiskey
And, yup, my mother gave this to me when I was quite young. But I wouldn't recommend it for this little guy.
Bro. Leo, the only thing kinder to a little one's tummy is rice milk.
I do hope he is better, soon.

I used to get those too when I had a bad cold. Sure would cut through the yuck and make your tummy feel warm.

Well, that's what it's suppose to do. The lemon juice strips the crud off your throat. The honey has all kinds of wonderful chemicals that do good things for you. And the whiskey just makes you feel all warm and happy ;D Putting on flannel jammies, wrapping up in a warm quilt and reclining on the futon mattress beside the fire while reading a book by Ward or Wilmshurst also is good for the body, as well as the soul

Karen. Michelle's keen to try this.

Your little man looks gorgeous. When my kids were little we used to talk about BRAT food when they had tummy upsets. Bananas, Rice, Apples, and Toast.

Thanks gipsyrose. That BRAT food is the way to go. I should have added he will eat a little banana, as well. The rice is something we will try so thanks for that.

Nice pictures. Now is the little lad getting better? It can be frightening when a kid of that age won't eat.
I am looking forward to meeting you and Michelle at long last on 10th Nov. Bro Cora has arranged our flight and accommodation in Belfast.

While you're there, and if you go to a pub, could you ask folks why bar tables are so high? I was in the bar here in the hotel earlier this evening and fell into conversation with some guys there. I notice the bar was so very high that it came to just under my shoulders and it was a bit difficult for me to gracefully handle my drink. The guys said this is an Irish thing, that, for some reason, the Irish made their bar tables high. And then the tradition made it over here. But no one here knows why the bar table has to be so high. I'd like to know. So if you can ask, while you're there, please let me know, K?

Nice pictures. Now is the little lad getting better? It can be frightening when a kid of that age won't eat.. The little fellow is doing just just great! Thanks for asking. Yesterday was the first full day in two weeks he went without getting sick, so as you can imagine we are delighted. Today he is just fine again and seems well on the way to recovery. I am looking forward to meeting you and Michelle at long last on 10th Nov. Bro Cora has arranged our flight and accommodation in Belfast. Same here Bro. Steve. It will be great to finally get to meet you and Bro. Cora face to face on the 10th, which is just 8 days away! Bro Cora, mentioned she had booked the flights and hotel in a recent e-mail, Michelle and I are currently looking into the possibility of arriving the evening before so as to be fresh and better prepared for the big day ahead of us. If we can make it up earlier we're hoping to meet you guys for a pre-initiation meet-up! I'd like to know. So if you can ask, while you're there, please let me know, K? I never noticed the tallness of bar tables in pubs. Maybe you just small ;D
