Hi All
From recent conversations with the illustrious admin of this site I have signed up to join his wonderful team of moderators.
I'm a london based Mark Master Mason who is in the 'confused' branch of freemasonry - neither fully esoteric nor knife & fork.
I'm not likely to post much but some of you may hear from me in my capacity as a moderator.
Don't worry, I'm not about to change the 'moderation light' feel of the forum as I feel it works very well - and doesn't need changing, just bringing an extra pair of eyes and hands to the task.
For those not in the know - Penfold is Dangermouse's sidekick - does that make Lee Dangermouse? Crumbs chief! ;D

Welcome penfold I'm a london based Mark Master Mason who is in the 'confused' branch of freemasonry - neither fully esoteric nor knife & fork. That's two of us in the "confused" branch then. I readily accept and believe that there is some esoteric meaning within freemasonry - the meanings we assign to the working tools when we apply them to our morals is a case in point - but I am not yet convinced that everything has an esoteric meaning. This is compounded by the fact that the rituals as we practice them in England and Wales have undergone such a change since the formation of UGLE - particularly under Taylorsman's favourite GM. Wayne

Welcome penfold, I suspect there are more masons in that branch than you and Wayne!

Welcome penfold, and enjoy. I think the great majority of freemasons, myself included, are in that category. That's the problem with boxes - I can never seem to find one to fit ;D ;D ;D

Welcome to the site. It's so nice not to be on your own, I've been confused for years. As I become more rounded in stature the less I seem able to find a box the right shape. And as for not posting - Leo will use up your allowance, no problem... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There is a joke here but I refuse to lower myself to Chris' level ;D I will! I've been known to drink wine and fiddle with my balls....only after playing a round of course!

Nice one, Penfold. My one was going to be far more extreme and definitely in no way as tasteful as yours. There are some subliminal clues in the above statement
