My name is Eric. I am a Master Mason from Connecticut, U.S.A. I was raised on June the 16th of this year. I had a bad experience when I first came to this forum. I jumped right in and let my emotions get the best of me. I spent most of my time in "Initiation of Women" and ran my mouth and ended up getting my account canceled by one of the staff. I'm very conservative in my most of my positions. I take my oaths very seriously. I must say i didn't even realize Co-Masons or Women Masons even existed before I came here. So this forum has already enlightened me. I hope I can continue to be a member here. There seems to be a lot of interesting information and people to meet. So lets try this one more time and I'll be a little more political correct. Sincerely, Brother Eric

Eric
Your account was not cancelled - it was suspended. It has now been deleted, as members cannot have more than one account.
As mentioned before you are free to express your opinions, just do it nice, and be prepared for the rebuttals.

So lets try this one more time and I'll be a little more political correct. Oh no! PC is another can of worms around here! (as I'm sure you'll find when you take look around in some of the older threads.) Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree, as one member here puts it. Nobody wants to prevent you from having an opinion, but this forum is moderation-light, which means it's up to us as member to keep a proper tone and stay open-minded. That's all.

I also are pleased to see you return. Your Truth may not be my truth - and My truth may not be yours -
That doesn't prevent us discussing with mutual respect
That is the Key to this forum

Welcome, gladioli - sorry, glad iator Seriously, I hope you enjoy your time on the Forum. It's a bit like the Craft: what's the point, if you don't enjoy it?. And, great choice of username, too. Let the games begin!

I think I should have started here before I started posting elsewhere. That was my first mistake.

Welcome back Eric.
It's not so much what people say, as how they say it.
A lot of what you had to say many disagreed with; however challenging others views is not wrong, the fact that you were suspended and not removed as would have happened on other forums gives you I hope an indication of how willing the owner of this forum is to encourage open but polite debate.

Nothing wrong with making mistakes, as long as we learn from them.
Welcome erci - hope you enjoy your time here

Anyway, the man who never made a mistake, never made anything - and that's especially true of Speculative Craftsmen. Think of it as your Hazing Now, put it all behind you and think no more of it.

[quote author=gladiator board I must say i didn't even realize Co-Masons or Women Masons even existed before I came here. quote] Eric It takes a big man to apologise in public and I thank you for that. The highlight is to also agree that until I started Posting about a year ago (elsewhere) and since this Forum started although I knew of Female Lodges (A good friends daughter is a member) I had no idea about Co-Masonry. Being a member for 18 odd years I didnt have an opinion one way or another. All I can say is I have learnt more about Freemasonry in the last year than I did in the previous 17! I will repeat what I said earlier, sit back and enjoy the Posts! And participate when you want to. (Just not quite so aggressively!)

This thread from you is clearly a good re-start to your adventures with us. It shows you are willing to listen to others and react accordingly. A good sign. Clearly we have much to learn from each other.
The path to enlightenment is indeed a tricky one to follow, but with patience and practice it can be achieved. Perhaps not in this life time, but at least when you're on the path you're making progress.
I wish you well and look forward to reading your contributions.
