I have arranged a charity clay shoot for Friday 3rd December, at Northall Shooting ground Near the Blue Bell Railway, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Arrive between 9.0/9.30 and finish at approx 12.0/12.30 It is a 50 bird sporting, and included in the price are your cartridges, bacon/sausage sandwiches & tea/coffee on arrival & a buffet afterwards, which will be held at the Plough Public House, Lower Beeding, Near Horsham, ( about 20 mins from the shoot) the presentation will be held there as well. Novices & Non-Masons are most welcome, and there is tuition arranged for novices and guns will be supplied for the novices.
Teams will be arranged on the day, to allow a level playing field and for those of you that come on your own or pairs. I have organised this in my role as shooting secretary for the Surrey Masonic Sports Association, and the monies raised will go towards the 2008 festival which is for the Masonic trust for Girls & Boys, and hopefuly one other charity. Please support this function as it is for a worthwhile cause and the fact that we can have a few beers afterwards. If you would like to come along then please email me before the 29th November, regards Mike. ;D

Mike, this is something I wouldn't mind doing. I haven't heald or fired a rifle in years, at least not since the police got involved If I'm in London, and time permitting, I would like to attend. At present I am here in Ireland but may be on my way to London in the near future. I'll let you know if this will be the case.

Just to let you all know, that 28 attended the shoot, of which there were 10 novices. The shoot raised £455 on the day, and thanks to all those that attended, especialy Dan Kerwood, who owns the shoot at Northall. Just to let you all know that i will be organising up to 3 shoots this year and will let you have the dates in due course. My lodge will be holding a shoot this year and the date is Sunday the 24th of April at Colgate, which is near Horsham. The price is yet to be fixed but it will be either the same as last year (£50) or as near to that price as possible. It will be teams of 4 and the day will consist of Breakfast on arrival, tea & coffee through out the morning, a 75 bird sporting & a 100 bird flush, followed by a buffet and presentation at the village pub ;D I hope many of you can attend, including you Staffs, please let me know in due course. If you can't make up a team of 4 don't worry, as we will place you in a team on the day, regards Mike ;D
