I am pleased to say that my Passing to the Second Degree takes place next Thurs. It will be almost 13 months exactly since my Initiation into Freemasonry under the United Grand Lodge of England, and a fine experience it is proving to be. Only another year to my Raising so I've been told, lots of time to learn.....

Bro Midlander. I wish you well for your Second Degree and hope you have a good Ceremony and Tracing Board. If performed well I feel that the Passing is one of the nicest Degrees in Craft and has important messages to impart. Too many Lodges rush a Candidate through at successive Meetings and the Second Degree is looked upon as no more than a way-station towards becoming a Master Mason. In your case it would appear that your Lodge has the right time intervals, a year between the Degrees.
I will think about you next Thursday and raise my glass at 9.00 pm.

All the best for your upcoming second, brother. As someone who's recently been through this (28 Feb), I know you'll enjoy it. A year is a good period between degrees to learn as much as you can about each degree. Make the most of it.

Hello all, my Passing went very well despite me having a streaming cold. A most enjoyable ceremony..... AND we had jam roly-poly at the F.B! My Raising will not be until March or April next year. Chaz, hope your course went well and you are not too knackered!!
