Well done to Stewart. That guy has more balls than a Wimbledon tennis final Balls, balls, you would think that standing up to help take Freemasonry forward could be disliked by some. ;D Anyhow more on that in a moment, but for now this thread. Ahmm, yes I took a few steps. Next is a marathon later this year if I get a place in the ballot. It is the Loch Ness marathon if anyone is interested, and has an 8 hour time limit, which bearing in mind the "hills" should be achievable with a bit of work. Then a double marathon, before a half-marathon in Steves hometown next year, then working towards the Mds. Funds and body permitting. Anyhow, please forgive me for digressing on this thread, but as the thread is about me, here goes nothing..... I am still reflecting on what Bill has said, as noted in my last post. I expect that i will be doing this for some time to come. In fact it has led me to reflect on my whole involvement in the Masonic world, and this could take some time. As Steve can confirm from a chat we had outside a pub some time ago, once I moved from being lost to understanding a bit better, i just wanted to encourage thought in the hope that you (ie Freemasons) would reflect then act, in the hope that Freemasonry could end up taking a positive step forward. Well I think that it is fair to say that I have encouraged thought. Whether at the individual level of those that I have done what little I can for to help take a step, those who have "had a go at me" in emails etc, or those at a lodge or fraternal level, with my lost requests for help or more recent correspondence. Now it seems to me that having done what I intended to do, that I should perhaps move on. There is much more that I could do to take Freemasonry forward, but to do that I would need the various powers that be to come together and take what would be some difficult steps given the sheer resistance to change that appears to exist within some parts of Freemasonry. Without that there really is no point in me continuing to bang on. All that I can hope for is that those who I have helped individually find that they can take their next step and that Freemasons in general take a moment to reflect (and I don't underestimate how difficult this process is), then act to take steps to turn Freemasonry around, where this is not currently happening or being effective. My thoughts and heart really is with you, but for me having done what I set out to do, instead of banging on marking time, I am going to move forward, as I have explained and detailed previously, and this is leaving me with less time to hassle you with. I have tried and I am happy with that. Anyhow the point of me explaining all of this, I am not going to even visit this, or any other, Masonic forum for a while, while I reflect, and ensure that I am doing the right thing in moving on. When I return I expect that I will be much more limited in my posts as I expect to return as someone who simply offers a few words here and there instead of pointing the obvious out. For those in UGLE and amity can I plead that you get behind Lord Northampton and sort what (I think form memory) he noted in his cornerstone speech that "something is wrong with angle-saxon" Masonry. It must have been very difficult for him to find the inner courage to stand up and say that, so please support him as he guides you through these difficult times. Apologies if my memory has served me incorrectly on his precise wording. Find that something, and sort it. Please. Anyhow bye for a while.

[there really is no point in me continuing to bang on. Stewart! Where do you think Noah would be right now if he had not continued banging on? (Dead I know) I like the words that Bill Cosby put in Noah's mouth when the ignorant folk were hurling jibes and insults at him... Noah down's his tools for just a minute and turns to them and says .."..how long can you tread water?" ;D ;D Most sincerely Stewart, from my heart, I truly hope that like Noah, if you feel that you have to down tools, it is only for a minute. Maat
You are truly a powerful force.
Your single post above has drawn me back, and I have in this case to answer it to escape it - oh do I love esoterics in action.
Maat, as I reflect, in as cautious a way as I can I have to break the bonds of the power of your words. Please forgive me for this. (to those who don't get this feel free to think me nutty).
Ahm... cough..... Noah - it beats being called a "false phrophet", or even "the One" or any of the other comparisons that have been made over the years.
I remain but a simple man on a journey, doing what little he can where he can. And for now I really must cast aside the thoughts of Noah et all. Noah! I ask you, sadly he would need to build more than a boat for humanity to survive the increasingly predicted extinction level events that Mother Nature appears to be gearing up for. I suspect that the saviour will not be found in technology but in basic humanity - a load of love, a rally of relief and a treasure of truth. Sometimes the simplest things can be the most difficult.
