Just received a summons for my Passing: 11 October 2006. There was some interest in visiting Copenhagen for my Second, and you're all more than welcome. It's a bit close to the Hamburg visit though, and I know Cliff (and others) would have preferred February. You can come around for my Third instead –– I just wanted to let you know.
*pretty excited already*

Glad to hear it, TM! Forester & Alf were quite impressed with the Third degree hall (and what they were told about the degree), so it should be worth it.

I hope you enjoy the evening Thomas, that is the same day I am due to be Raised. I love the sound of your third degree hall. Maybe I could visit for your Raising. We'll have to see!

Tonight I was passed (or "promoted" as we say) as a FC (or "fellow (brother)"). Puts a lot of what was experienced in the Initiation into words and deeds. We were four on the night, making our passing together, and that was part of what brought the lessons home. And the Order's own choir was there, which was cool (although they missed their key for the last piece, and sang in each their own - but it really was a friendly degree, so no harm done).
A lot to study in this one!
Edit: and how did things fare for you, Sion?

Hi Thomas, I'm just back from my Raising. I've put a few words about the evening in my thread about being Raised. You're going to love it (your Raising, that is). I will not say any more. Siontific

A bit early to contemplate - it should be another year. (But I did mention to my Proposer that I had travel plans, and he could understand that I very much wanted my Masonic passport. Would be a bit silly if I went around the world and wasn't able to visit any lodges after all. So if necessary he will try to fit me into the calender before the summer darkness, which could mean as early as March. I'll just have to work harder on my second, and after my third there'll naturally be a longer break before progressing, if I'm away. Well, we'll see ... Just remember I expect to see all of you there
