Congratulations?
And, uh, - EA alert here - what does it mean to be "Advanced" in a lodge?

Karen, One 'enters' as an Apprentice; 'passed' as a Fellowcraft; 'raised' as a MM; 'advanced' as a Mark MM; 'exalted' as a RA Mason, etc.

Many congratulations! You are joining an extremely old Lodge, is it a Lodge of Mark Masters? (Rather than Mark Master Masons) Although amazingly in your Province there is one older Lodge than yours Fowke No 19!
I hope you have a great day, please let us know how you got on.

Bro Midlander. Were you in Mark when you were in LDH or was this a new experience for you? If the former how did the two Advancements compare?

WOW! what an entertaining evening! I had no idea what to expect during the Mark ceremony, which in parts was carried out with much good humour - but with suitable solemnity during the parts that required this.
To answer the questions above - Kizzy, I was only 'Craft' at LDH, so anything else is completely new. M.P - Not sure yet of the difference between the two. As you say the Lodge is very old (1858). The Lodge which is the older in the Province - Fowke No. 19, Received it's Warrant in the morning, and my Lodge in the afternoon. Apparently there is some rivalry betwen them!
So all in all a good nights labour - I feel I am going to enjoy Mark Masonry.
Oh yes, Chapter is next......... and not too long to wait.....
