I have noted that topics and even reply's have more or less come to a standstill on the TFM Feminism and Co Masonry page, I wonder if this has been noticed. Thankfully Staff had the good sense to open this site and I must say I am enjoying rhe relaxed attitude held by him and the members of the forum. The air of free speech is sweet.

Hello, Yoki,
Yes, I often pop in to have a look around, but it's quite moribund, sadly. After a while, you feel a bit silly talking to yourself. Well, I do.

I always did and still do like to check out the book forum there. However, I need not check more than about once every 2 weeks since there are very seldomly any posts at all.

I do go back, but not too often as the craic has changed somewhat. I started a thread there about what Masons watch on telly, expecting it to be "Presto Locko" but last time I looked it's still going strong!

I wander back and stir the pot a little because I like to share and learn alternate Masonic views but it is lonely, I think it is the measure of the site, when You remember the subjects that the Mods Killed, and then Look at the Grubby Jokes, the Mods allow .

There's no need to get personal Whistler. I can already tell that this forum has an entirely different flavour than TFM, which is itself different to others. There's a place for both and I intend to frequent both as they are both worth frequenting. Moderating any forum anywhere is hard work, and unpaid.

They have now started an "ESOTERIC" thread, though no one seems to want to post any thoughts there!
At least with that thread there is the chance of enlightening "some" of the stubborn sods!

Hubert, there is a Latin phrase "surdo fabulam narras" which I feel applies there.

Very well, surdo fabulam narrabo. I think the recent sudden withdrawal en masse of posters from TFM has at the very least stung that business element which is guided always by the profit motive. I think as Masons we're a little too well-behaved in asking for what we want. If a business doesn't deliver what the buying public wants, it dies where it stands. If we want an Esoteric-friendly forum, they have finally realised they ought to let us have one.
It's a very lily-livered excuse for an Esoteric forum ("Esoteric Thoughts", I ask you), but with our collective assistance it may help those stumbling through the dark on their way to light. The MFL is all very well, but it is still very much an Initiated sanctuary. We need to remember that for many people new to the entire subject of the Craft, TFM is still the first port-of-call.
I reckon we ought to put aside our misgivings and work toward the greater good and illumination of all.

Your choice Ruff, but I am not having anything else to do with them. They can, to use a Scots term "dree their weird" or if you like, "act in haste, repent at leisure!"

Here you all have been given what you asked for so why go back ??

My take on this Lee is that some will wish to be in both Fora and that's fair enough by me, some will like me have found our "Spiritual Home" here and never return to TFM. Com, and others may have looked here but prefer the way things are done there and stay with them.
I see no problem with that, to quote JC, "In my Father's house here are many mansions" . I don't see it as an "either or". There is no Rule of Exclusive Jurisdiction for Masonic Fora , nor any Regular Vs Irregular situation, thank God. We already have posters who are also on Pietre Stones and some of the American Masonic Websites.
Whatever TFM.Com now does and whether they rise or fall is their concern and not mine and frankly I lost any interest in that Forum when they reacted so harshly against the Esoteric posters.

Yoki , Think of it the same as belonging to two lodges and that you get different things from each.
Personally i would not join another craft lodge and like to apply my efforts into one thing only abn therefore i would only belong to one craft lodge.
It all depends what floats your boat or gives you a stirring in the loins stirs but i can only sail in one boat at a time and wont even dare go into the next one.
I hope people get there what they feel they dont get here but you have all been given what you wanted here and i hope you are still getting
