Stewart has tried to express a belief that perhaps aliens did or do exist and have perhaps visited earth. While most of us I'm sure agree that it has little to do with modern day Freemasonry, perhaps we can consider the following theory? I stress that it is not my theory and I remain a skeptic i.e. withholding judgement... If anyone is interested I can seek permission to pass on more details to you or put you in touch with the author directly. --------------------- Extraterrestrial visitors come to earth some 400,000 years ago from a planet known as Nibiru (read Zecharia Sitchin). Nibiru is supposedly in such extreme ellipsis that it comes into our solar system only once every 3,600 years. Main reason for aliens visiting is gold (although this sounds like transference of our values onto the theory). About 300,000 years ago the easy pickings run out and the process of mining becomes too laborious. The Nibiru workers are on the brink of mutiny. The Sumerian Holy book, the Atra Hasis says, "Let us confront our chief officer, that he may relieve our heavy work. Excessive toil has killed us. Our work is heavy, the distress is much." The solution: create a worker race. According to Sitchin and other fringe “scientists” these extraterrestrial beings genetically spliced their own genes with the genes of Homo Erectus, and created a worker race. The primitive worker is us. The "missing link" in evolution has not been found. Pehaps there isn't one? The Atra Hasis, amongst other texts, explains how the ANNUNAKI crossed its genes with the genes of an animal which most resembled them. The Sumerian Atra Hasis and the Assyrian Karsag epics along with the Sumerian Enuma Elish explain how the Goddess Ninhursaag allowed the eggs of an Earthbound species to be placed in her womb. For millions of years man had no written language or capacity for speech or language. Modern man had these skills almost immediately. Because the created species were so intelligent the Gods felt threatened. Languages and religions were formed to keep control. In no time the workers were being made warriors, fighting wars between the Gods / Annunaki. The symbol used by En-ki the Annunaki God / scientist was the entwined serpents representing medicine, healing and biology today. En-ki was responsible for genetically engineering the Adamu. Were the entwined serpents really representing the double helix of DNA? Sumerian tablets show the entwined serpents being linked with ribbons which resemble a ladder (Jacobs ladder?). The Sumerian tablets were cast a long time before the Old Testament was written. Was Jacob’s ladder really an explanation of our creation through genetic engineering by the Annunaki who came down from the heavens above? Did the Egyptians have knowledge of ancient flying vehicles....? www.crystalinks.com/ancientaircraft.html ;D

The German researcher Jan Van Helsing, wrote in his book "Secret Societies of the 20th Century", of how the Vril and Thule societies believed they were corresponding with extraterrestrials through two mediums in a lodge near Berchtesgaden in December 1919. According to Vril documents, he says these channelings were transmitted from a solar system called Aldebaran, 68 light years away in the constellation of Taurus. The population of Aldebaran is divided into a master race of blonde haired, blue eyed, Aryans, known as light God people and several other human like races which had mutated to a lower genetic form due to climatic changes.
In excess of 500 million years ago the Aldebaran sun began to expand so creating a huge increase in temperature. The lower races were evacuated and taken to other habitable planets. The Aryan light God people began colonising Earth-like planets after theirs became uninhabitable. In our solar system it was said that they first occupied the planet, Mallona, also known as Marduk, Mardek and by the Russians and Romans, Phaeton, which they said was to have existed between Mars and Jupiter in what is now the asteroid belt. This corresponds with the Sumerians account of the planet Tiamat.
The Vril society believed that these beings colonised Mars before landing here on Earth and starting the Sumerian civilisation. It was also said that the Sumerian language was identical to that of the Aldebarans. The Thule Society was named after Ultima Thule which is claimed to be the mythical city on Hyperborea, the first continent settled on by the extraterrestrial Aryan race from Aldebaran. Some researchers say that this was well before Atlantis or Lemuria, others say Hyperborea was Atlantis or even the inner Earth.
Scandinavian legend describes Ultima Thule as a wonderful land in the far north where the sun never sets. When Hyperborea started to sink the legend goes the Aryan extraterrestrials used their highly advanced technology to burrow gigantic tunnels into the earths crust and they settled under the Himalayan Mountains.
This region was known as Agharta with a capital city known as Shamballa. The Persians called this area Aryana. Hienrich Himmler’s followers and members of his occult and esoteric group believed that the Aryan Martians were good and the others of that time were evil. The others were the Anunnaki. The Aryans and the Anunnaki fought first on Mars and finally on Earth. Hitler was obsessed with finding the portals to the subterranean world so that he could make contact with the master Aryan race. Himmler along with his 12 highest ranking initiates, believed that the Sumerian Gods were the extraterrestrial master race: They believed in the existence of Atlantis and launched expeditions to North Africa, Rennes-le-Chateau and Montsegur in Cathar country, and Tibet were they believed the underground supermen were based.

Didn't Erich von Daniken write about similar stuff back in the 70s. It caused a great stir at the time but I seem to remember he eventually got discredited.
Can anybody refresh my memory?

von Daniken, Velikovsky.... there are numerous folk over the years who've pushed similar theories. Sitchin is supposedly a more respected academic figure, being one of the few (or so it is claimed) who can actually comprehend ancient Sumerian. See www.sitchin.com/adam.htm for more....

The word Vril (which was actually invented by Bulwer Lytton as the energy source of the eponymous Vrilya in his story The Coming Race) when combined with the Latin bos, bovis, "ox", supplies us with the brand-name Bovril.
Bizarre but true.

Looking again at this thread.
I suspect that some sort on intelligence came to earth from the region of Orion - Now the form of that intelligence I do not know - Using the term alien creates the vision of little green men - It would be possible that the transfer of intelligence between Planets might have been in some sort of thought form - We are thinking about distances that are beyond normal understanding - Stewart how did you get from Venus?

Stewart has tried to express a belief that perhaps aliens did or do exist and have perhaps visited earth. I would suggest much more than perhaps, but then again I have spent years talking to people involved in this field, listening, assessing, cross checking, etc. From abductees to Internationally respected experts. The human race never ceases to amaze me. There was a time when the Earth simply had to be flat. Then the Earth simply had to be the centre of the Universe with everything else revolving around it. Then Man simply had to be the most intelligent species ever created. And all other animals on this planet were deemed not to be sentient in some way. Fortunately science has disproved all of these. Never ceases to amaze me how youthful large parts of the human race are. If I were an alien in my space ship looking down at Earth, would I want to land, I mean who would I talk to, in a world full of warring/bullying tribes that have still to learn how to be humane, truthful, helpful and loving? Seriously imagine you were an alien, who would you pick to talk to? But it may have an awful lot to do with the Mysteries upon which, at least some parts of, Freemasonry preserve for all of our wellbeings. Perhaps much of modern day Freemasonry is simply a coarse corruption through the physical influence of man? It always tickles me when what you would call an "anti" says that Freemasons are in effect this powerful underworld, when real power beyond the imagination of most appears to being missed or discounted by some Freemasons in our world today. I said it on another forum well over a year ago now, but I really do wonder sometimes what the original founders of what we know today as Freemasonry would think if they looked at our world today. I remember back then a poster replied something to the effect of: happy that it all still exists. And given the physical distractions of our world I can understand this, but I am also sure that there would be some head shaking going on.

Be it creeper on trees - fish in the sea, A Bull ruling a Herd, cancer Cells, white blood cell, red blood cells, mould, big trees claiming light. Why do you think your alien would be any different. I might had that I don't have the slightest doubt that there has been communication of some sort for somewher in the Galaxy. It is the how and why that is the question for me

Stewart that may not be correct - All life forms on earth depended on bulling and winning. (snip)Why do you think your alien would be any different. Ah an area that I have spent a lot of time thinking about. I have also written a great deal about this this subject, but to force myself to keep to your specific question:- I don't. Ultimately aliens are on the same type of evolutionary journey we are. Some will be more enlightened than others. Some however will have evolved to the point that they realise that balance and harmony offer more real power than fear. But this is gross gross gross simplification of my current views. How: At a guess, emotional telepathic bonding could be one way. Why: The natural balance to become one. But again this is a gross simplification of my current views. Mind you I also believe that we are all at least part aliens ourselves. Also terminology can get in the way. Physical beings from elsewhere is pretty clear cut. But what about angels and demons? Elementals? Ghosts? Pretty alien to many people. Yet accepted as part of life by others. I also think that one reason why so many humans have problems accepting the possibility of alien life is that their Egos get in the way, for they feel so insecure at the thought that there is something beyond their control. And many others who do know simply keep quiet through fear of ridicule.

They might be like the crocodile, which has evolved into the perfect killing, eating and crocodile-making machine, and hasn't needed to evolve at all since it shared the planet with the dinosaurs.

Indeed.
But who is to say that there is only one type of alien being? Could be millions, just like the diversity of life on Earth.

As a kid and in my teens I read a lot of Science Fiction, both books and the American Comics available in those days. Now one story stuck in my mind where the Aliens were so far advanced above us that they did not recognise Homo Sapiens as an intelligent creature but as some filthy vermin infesting the planet and simply sterilised Earth with some form of death ray, what we do to termites comes to mind. Sensational? Yes, but in the past the people of Europe have reacted in a similar way torwards other races they considered to be inferior, the Bushmen and the Aboriginies come to mind not to mention what was done to the North American Plains Indians. Can we expect any better in turn?
First Contact may NOT be the Star Trek model of beneficent Vulcan style Aliens highly intelligent but non aggressive but more like the Independence Day version. Again, would WE recognise them and their intentions or would some trigger happy military type fire an ABM at their spacecraft taking it for a missile or as an attack and invite a retaliation?
A further though occurs, even amongst the creatures already on Earth there are variences regarding what is harmful to one species being innocuous to another. Asprin will kill a cat, Pennicillin a Guinea Pig, some plants are lethal to mankind but form the diet of animals. High Intensity Gamma Radiation is lethal to us, so how would we respond to a creature which is not only immune to this but uses it to communicate as we do Radio Waves?
Finally, would we recognise an Alien Lifeform which was not a Bipedal, Platigrade Homonid? Another "comic" I read as a teenager showed a spaceship returning to a far distant planet. A speech bubble related how it had landed on Earth but had tried to communicate but despite being visited by humans no contact had occurred so its mission had failed. It is only in the final picture that we find that there is no crew but that the lifeform was a mechanistic one, the spacecraft itself from a machine planet as the being.
So would we actually be able to recognise and communicate meaningfully with Extra-Terestrials? Our own unresolved conflicts, Ulster, the Middle East, the Balkans, do not augur well.

Indeed. On many counts.
Some thoughts:-
1. The science of Astrobiology (big in Cambridge UK) is growing. Astrobiologists may be looking for life like viruses and bacteria, but what is the greatest conceptual leap, from "no alien life to viruses" or from "viruses to humanoid"?
2. Every year we find new species fo life on Earth. In the last decade methane and sulfur based life has been found in our ocean trenches. Just think about that, no so long ago we defined life as oxygen dependent, yet we now have two forms of life, and several species, on Earth where oxygen is irrelevant.
3. I agree many aliens visiting Earth may simply see humanity as a virus, a food source (well we eat other animals dont we), or simply an irrelevance, or possibly a threat to peace in the Universe (I mean we can't even tolerate other humans can we?).
4. There was a time that man simply knew that the Earth was flat. Then some sailors found the courage to sail beyond the horizon. Then there was a time that we just knew taht the Earth was the centre of the Universe, with everything, including our Sun revolving around us. Then astronomy came along. More recently humanity (what a word for where is the humanity?) take comfort in the fact that "we" know that we are not only the most but the only intelligent species on this planet and in the Universe. Today science is now proving animal sentience, and Astrobiology is making inroads into the space bit. I wonder what we will know tomorrow?
We could take one enormous leap into a better world for all if we could only learn to be less scared and take those difficult steps forward. I am confident that a whole new world of opportunity and balance would then open itself up to us.

Yes, Stewart, there is even a bacterium, desulfovibrio, (I think it may be related to the one which causes Cholera- Andrew would you care to comment?). Anyway it can tolerate and indeed thrive at levels of acidity which would destroy most other lifeforms.
Again I read a "Comic" where the scene opens on what appears to be a distant planet with two rival groups of bug type aliens fighting. There is sheer cliff nearby. As one side appears to be winning, a massive tidal wave sweeps them all to oblivion down a great dark pit. The scene opens up and we see a man with a brush sweeping the gutter and muttering about kids leaving their broken toys in the street all covered in cockroaches and flies. You've guessed, it's good old Earth and we huge humans do not recognise the tiny insect lifeforms which have landed here in their toy sized spacecraft for what they were, but flush them down the drain. In another a scientist puts a sample under a microscope and the bacteria form the famous words "Take us to your Leader!" and the Story and Film "The Andromenda Strain" postulates the idea that a "bug" discovered by a sweeper satellite may actually be trying to communicate with us but unfortunately it is in its early mutations lethal to human beings.
We are anthropomorphic and visualise Intelligent Life in our own image and likeness, (as indeed we do God), and as Spock says on Star Trek "it's Life Jim but not as we know it!"

Let me recount a little story which may help here.
You will have heard (primarily comasons) on this forum and elsewhere talk about energy. When you begin to accept this you may begin to feel it, and then you may realise that it is a double edged sword.
Anyway the story.
Imagine me sitting in a new age type conference when I feel a stabbing pain in my back. This makes me rather uncomfortable and after a while I sense that it is coming from a specific person some way behind me. I thought that this was daft but no matter how I moved in my chair the pain was always affecting me as if it was coming from the same direction.
So, as there were spare seats, I move to another chair, and the pain still appears to be entering me as if coming from this person. So I move to another side of the room, and it repeats itself. No matter how or where I move the pain appears to be coming from this person.
Having a trusted acquaintence at the conference I ask his opinion. Then after a bit of thought I made the decision to face this person, which I did.
To my amazement she was in no way suprised. She was a natural healer and accepted that it was possible, even though she could not understand how I was being hurt. But she to quote herself then "shut herself down". There were witnesses to this conversation.
Now if you can accept that energy emmanates from our bodies, then that does open up a whole new world of possibilities, and puts a whole lot of issues into a sharper perspective.
But my key point here. Would the ability of this healer to give out energy which hurt me physically not be considered "alien" to many? In days gone by would she have been burnt at the stake?
The personal responsibility that comes with such a level of development is enormous.

True, we react adversely to anything which we perceive to be a threat, or which causes us pain and discomfort. Now imagine another person with telekinetic powers had been there and had suffered this pain. They had also identified the person reponsible but instead of speaking to them as you did had retaliated. Suddenly this woman lets out a scream and slumps to the floor in agony as they for example give her a terrible abdominal pain. Far fetched? Ok, a bloke in a pub jostles another man at the bar by accident making him spill his pint on his clothes. The first man doesn't apologise, he didn't realise perhaps that he had done this. The second man punches him breaking his nose and knocking him to the floor. Is that a bit more realistic?
That is human nature, and for every alturistic nice guy such as yourself there are a lot more who will swing their fist.
If we do this with other humans, how would we react to something we do not recognise as Life like ourselves? Perhaps the Jains have a point, sweeping the ground before them as they walk to avoid stepping on some bug or insect?
