Wales were brill, at least up to where I was able to watch it. 18/18. What was the final score.
Btw, the dodgy hand shake was between the ref and the Welsh manager ;D

Perhaps Wales will be rewarded by getting its own Grand Lodge.
Might give 'em a certain GLoW.

Well I watched the game but I still don't know how we did it Mind you She Who Must Be Obeyed was pottering around putting the finishing touches to the re-decoration of our son's bedroom (he was away on a skiing trip with school) and from time to time called me to lend a hand with moving things. So superb was her timing that I actually missed every single one of the tries in the match (couldn't even complain as we were going to my lodge's Ladies Night later that evening so couldn't afford to upset her on the night that I was proposing the Toast to the Ladies - would have been a bit of an irony) Mind you it bodes well for the possibility for a "winner takes all" clash with the Irish on 19 March as long as we both avoid any banana skins in the next game Wayne

So superb was her timing that I actually missed every single one of the tries in the match Wayne Yes my good lady was away doing the Belvoir challenge (26 mile walk) so I had un-interupted viewing with a few beers ! Hope we don't slip up against the Jocks so as to make for a good finale against the Irish - no doubt tickets will be like hens teeth ;D I see the English had a good game yesterday p.s. hope you had a good ladies night Wayne

I don't think the Jocks will give you any problem, Forester. The team has come together and improved since last year but still have some miles to go. Good Luck to all you experts in the amatory affairs of ovines.

p.s. hope you had a good ladies night Wayne Thanks - it went very well In the absence of our JW I had to do the Toast to the Ladies as some of you know (I was looking for inspiration from a certain e-mail list last week) and also had to write the response for the WM's wife As some of you may know from other postings here and elsewhere, my wife is not a great fan of Ladies Nights as she does not like the formality that often attaches to them (her face when she saw that my gavel had been placed at my seat was a picture) but she had a thoroughly good time Saturday and were amongst the last to leave. Bodes well for next year when it will be our turn to organise it Wayne

Diolch, bach! I know you will appreciate this story Man in Reg masthead lingo terror ordeal By Lester Haines Published Friday 4th March 2005 12:13 GMT We here at Vulture Central occasionally receive a missive so delightful that it merits a showcase of its own. In this case, one JK (we have the full name but have not published it for our correspondent's own safety) wrote to inform us of strange goings-on at El Reg on 1 March. Read on in wonder: Sent: 01 March 2005 16:24 To: webmaster@theregister.co.uk Subject: Weird text appearing on the front page of theregister.com well co.uk
"Y Ddraig Goch ddyry gychwyn"
is showing up instead of
"Biting the hand that feeds IT"
on the front page (upper left).
www.theregister.com/.
At first I thought it was in a different language, but it does not look like any kind of language..
If I navigate to other pages within the register website, it goes back to the right wording.
JK.
For those who missed it, here is the offending masthead. We have signposted the clue which will help our confused reader fumble his way to enlightenment: ( weblink to story with graphics) Yup, that's right. So, what does "Y Ddraig Goch ddyry gychwyn" actually mean? Come off it, that's what they invented the internet for. Happy hunting.
