Audrey Tautou?!!!!!!!
Well, there's one reason to see it, anyway.
Can I suggest Stephen Fry for Sir Leigh Teabing? He won't, of course: it'll probably be one of those awful American TV actors whom, because they come from New England, everyone seems to cast as Englishmen.

Can I suggest Stephen Fry for Sir Leigh Teabing? .Great idea. I hope they concider John Cleese. He came to my mind when reading the book.

Great. Jim Carey is only able to play Jim Carey.

From what I can tell so far he hasn't been signed up for the role. After reading the book I don't personally feel he's the best for that role. Not sure who I'd like to see as Silas but Jim Carrey is not right. imo.
Just though of someone. There is one guy, who's name escapes me. He was in the movie "Fargo" as Steve Buschemi buddy. Fair haired chap. Anyone know who I'm on about?

You mean Peter Stormare. He usually specialises in playing generic Eastern Europeans.
No, I reckon that part should go to someone like Adrien Brody (weird cousin Noah from The Village).

If Jim Carey is to play Silas I hope he plays the part with all seriousness; without his usual over acting and pulling of siily faces etc.
Personally I haven't got much time for him - although he was just about bearable in 'The Trueman show'.

Sir Leigh Teabing just has to be played by Sir Richard Attenborough.
