A very Happy St Patricks Day to all those of Irish Descent and those who are using it as an excuse for a day off and a good session.
And especially to Leo to whom i am sure we all all hold a special place in our hearts.

Happy St Patrick's Day to one and all. This morning we have been invited to watch our local St Paddy's Day parade with some friends (English people who're more Irish than myself!) who have a house right where the parade will pass at 10:30 am. Should be good fun. BTW, Some towns in Ireland had their parades last Sunday so as not to disrupt normal business Plenty of the black stuff is already flowing. Mind you, nothing unusual there ;D

Ueap, I shall be helping myself to one or two pints later...in honour of this marvellous Welshman.... ;D Ouch - Patrick himself wrote that the scene of his youth was Banavem Tiburniae (possibly the town of Tiburnia near Holyhead in western Wales) and the link www.aoh.com/history/archive/stpatrick.htm Now I think I ought to head for cover mit flak jacket

The St. Patrick's parade went by outside my window a couple of hours ago. Yes, we have one in Copenhagen. No, I didn't know that until today. Have a good one!

Had great day. I even had green ice cream. We all had a really great time today The parade was fantastic, the weather was cool but dry. Lots of craic and music and dancing in the streets. I even shook a leg myself! You guys in the UK do not know what you're missing. I know New York and Boston have major St Patrick's day parades: What other countries outside Ireland also celibrate the 17th March in this manner? Is there a parade in Kilburn?

There isn't one in Kilburn, but there is plenty going on there (I imagine the Galty will be busy tonight, and Biddy's) Sunday was the London parade and concert (yes we have a concert too - www.londonstpatricksday.org.uk/)Birmingham also had their's on Sunday - apparently the 3rd biggest in the world...http://www.ch23.net/stpatricksdayparade/ Not sure if they have one in Moscow or Brussels or Paris or Tokyo, but they do have Irish pubs there.... Chicago has a big parade too, 2nd biggest after Dublin or so they say..... Good grief...how does a welsh lad know more than a true irishman....I don't know......

I agthered of the net a few random Irish songs for a function last night ( any excuse) - had a problem when listening and discovered on decoding the Irish accent the guy was singing that "Virgins taste better and two are better than one" Leo just what do you Irish eat?

A major fry up with everything, even VIRGIN olive oil ;D ;D Bod Great info about what's happening in your neck of the world on Paddy's day. Thanks. Is this London parade an on going thing?
