-18 F [-27.8 C] this morning when I got to work at 8:30 a.m. With the breeze - slight at 5 mph from the SE - the "wind chill" is -31 F [-35 C]. It finally turned into real winter! You should see the exhaust gas plume from the boiler at the Masonic Temple across the street!

When I got home, I found out the BF had purchased a new space heater so I won't be cold any more when I take a shower. From what he tells me, he's been allowing the water to drip so the pipes won't freeze. Last time this happened, he had to go after the pipes with a hair dryer. It is, though, nice to have an extended freezer outside to keep the beer cool Other than that, I don't like winter. It'll be spring soon, right?

We had sunshine yesterday here in my part of Ireland. But it was still very cold. A strange experience.
