Gents, if you look up the News page on the Rosslyn Templars site at the bottom of my post that will give a short review.

Personally I couldn't care whether the KT dug around the Temple Mount or elswhere for that matter. What I am interested in is this ongoing perception that we(the freemasons) originated from the Templars. Even the historical aspects of the KT arriving in Scotland on the west coast of Argyllshire is somewhat exaggerated. The battle of Bannockburn with the KT involved is hearsay. The DA Vinci Code and all those things related to it are to believed by those who wish to believe. But with regards freemasonry certainly in Scotland there is NO evidence to prove that we came from the KT. I would advise people to read historical books on the evolution of Scottish Freemasonry before making judgments

Thanks Mr Mason thats helped alot really. I am personally rethinking where i am now and where i am going to next. If these basic beliefs are ungrounded then what else is in the Masons. Just how much is wishful thinking?

Didn't the author of the documentary also publish a book about the Da Vinci- code?

This was shown on Danish television the other day as part of a whole evening of programs focusing on The Da Vinci Code.
I must admit that the first half of Robinson's show seemed pointless – and I didn't like the gleeful attitude with which the book (and particular its inspiration, Henry Lincoln's The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail) was shot down. The second part, going into the the hoax, was more interesting, and the Danish program followed up on this. One of the things that came to light was that Plantard (interviewed by Lincoln about Prieure de Sion) not only used PS to promote his own nationalist political views, but that he was also anti-Masonic. Another sad aspect of the whole thing was seeing a fresh interview with Lincoln clinging to his claims, and dismissing the people behind the hoax.
Anyway, Dan Brown must have known about the hoax (it's been out for at least 10 years), and yet he chose to hint that it was fact to build controversy (and sell more books). Makes me wary about his next book -- it is likely to perpetuate myths about Freemasonry (but I'll read it for its likely entertainment value).

Yes, Thomas that's right. And for that reason Dan Browns book cannot be considered as serious.
