Although this movie has nothing to do with Freemasonry (I warned you) it has everything to do with the Science of Spirituality.
It is coming out soon (20/05/05) in the U.K. as a limited release and I highly recommend it as the best movie of the year (2005 and beyond).
See it and beleive (and find the links with Freemasonry).
Especially recommended for Taylorsman, Stewart and Leonardo.

Hi andrew
Hope eveything is going well with you and yours - what is the name of the film? Surely its not 'What the bleep do we know' -or is it!

Andrew
Thank you for your recommendation. Do you by any chance have a link to for some more info on this film?

Just watched the trailer.... Yes - oh yes..... I'll be there........ The hidden reveals itself plainly for all to see........ Actually quantum physics blows my head

Stewart,
I have seen the film and it's bloody wonderful. It's sort of a hybrid of an actual film and a documentery.
It explains quantum physics in a very simple and non-scientific way. But it is so much more than a film about physics.
As I said Welcome to the (R)Evolution...

Wow!
If the trailer is anything to go by it's going to be a very good film
I've made a note of when it comes to the Barbican and will hopefully get to see it then.
Thanks Andrew

The hidden reveals itself plainly for all to see........ Or as once someone told me: "the hidden mysteries of nature and science"...

Thanks Andrew for those links.
Very interesting stuff and certainly something I will want to see.

Pile of bollocks by the sound of it.
I'll wait for it to come out on DVD. And then steal it.
Bah, humbug.

For once I agree with Ruff. I am really sceptical about all this Quantum bable as I am about certain Religious Dogmas etc.
Now here is the interesting comparison. I listened this morning on the radio to an item where some scientists are arguing heatedly about the existance of the as yet totally theoretical "Black Holes". Received Wisdom of course states that these exist, but the "rebels" reject this claiming that it is mathematically impossible according to Quantum Theories. One refuses to use the term "Black Hole" instead speaking his own phrase "Dark Energy Star". I started to laugh! One of his rivals in the "traditional" camp refused to even read his works, hardly the objective Peer Review that is supposed to be the hallmark of the Scientific Community! Talk about the "Index" of banned Books?
This is just as bad as the rival claims of religious zealots at the time of the Reformation. "It's Transubstantiation! and if you don't believe that you are a Heretic" while the other side are equally strident, "No it's not, it's Consubstantiation, and if you believe otherwise you are a superstitious Papist!"
I have found that some of these far out Quantum advocates treat their Theories as Holy Writ and Einstein, (who I understand made up his own Maths to "prove" some of his theories), as a Prophet with anyone daring to argue or to refuse to accept His Word being treated in a similar manner to a non believer in the hands of the Inquisition.
For my own part I am an empirical pragamatist, I work with actual instruments and equipment which measures real effects and events. As the Yanks say, "I'm from Missouri" the "Show me!" State. When someone can show me an optical picture of a "Black Hole" or a "Dark Energy Star" come to that I will believe it but don't wave a sheet of complex, abstruse and arcane equations at me and expect me to roll over.
I will not be buying this DVD , I don't need a coaster for my coffee cup nor another frisbee.

Andrew, if I do go to the cinema , and that is very seldom these days-about 3 times in the last 5 years, then it would be to see "Kingdom of Heaven" set in the time of the Crusades or "Downfall" about the last days of Hitler in the Bunker 60 years ago, or "Sahara" but not the film you mentioned. Just not my sort of thing I have to say.

We all do that, to some degree. We're human. we believe in what we believe---and if we've arrived at whatever that is through effort and thought, whether guided or misguided, we believe it all the more.
That's fine, that's as it must be... because, for a variety of reasons, I believe in free will, and how else would we have choices? Someone on this side of life has to come up with the alternatives.
As for quantum theory, I find it interesting, but last I heard, there are little inexplicable gaps in it... for example, it couldn't fully define the properties of light.
The mathematics are the most beautiful part of it all, and are worth exploring and understanding. I enjoyed a simple taste of it in chemistry and biology, years ago, and want to go back for more. It's completely amazing what can be discerned through a few clues and the application of mathematical laws. Exciting. It reveals a beauty that no other eye can see. Anything is obtuse and arcane until you begin to understand it.

Have to agree to disagree there Andrew. I have always found Mathematics the most dismal of the sciences, boredom raised to an art form. At school I only passed my O Level by memorising the formulae and their solutions just like a piece of Ritual and when I got the paper and was told to begin I wrote these down as an aide memoire before answering the questions. In my further studies I could master the Electronic Theory and Practicals but had most difficulty with the Maths. Luckily I really do not need Maths very much in my work, a good calculator or the use of MS Excel will handle any calculations I need to do.
If you find beauty in Mathematics then good luck to you, For my part my pleasure comes from words which I enjoy reading and using. Put it another way, if you wished to explain some theory to me and I had the choice of a single page of equations or 500 pages of words I'd take the prose any day!

Although this movie has nothing to do with Freemasonry (I warned you) Andrew Your statement is absolute bollocks, and you know it. The contents of the film have everything to do with esoteric Freemasonry. In fact I would go as far as to suggest that quantum physics, as depicted in this film, is just a modern name for some very ancient wisdom. Mind you it all depends on how esoteric your concept of esoteric is, and what you consider Freemasonry to be. Fabulous film though. Makes you think. As it says in the film give its advice on how to apply the physics (esoterics) to your life in a practical day to day way, and watch your reality change. It does work. But it does take some belief. And belief can be very difficult. I can almost feel the shuddering of some realising that this sort of stuff is being explained in such an entertaining way to the masses. And the process of reillumination continues. Oh and sorry Andrew, I was a bit rude above. But knowing your interests I think that you either need to stop playing or start believing. Mind you I once had that problem. (still a bit rude - sorry).

After reading Stewart's appraisal of it, I will give that film a miss and watch "Kingdom of Heaven" instead, to me far more interesting and enjoyable.

Only the fumes of illumination.
Taylorsman
Each to their own.
All
If you think that I give the church a hard time, you should listen to these distinguished scientists. Actually it was noteable that there was a channeled master there as well. Some of the views expressed in the film make me look like a pussycat. I am just trying to picture the Popes face when he views the film and listens to what these distinguished scientists are saying about religion.
And the search for truth continues....with a practical fun guide to being a Magi every single day.
Andrew
Please forgive me, but you are closer than you may think.
