The Church of the Knights Templars in London,(a description of the fabric and its contents, with a short history of the order).
By George Worley 1907
ISBN- 0-9544268-3-5
Approx 84 pages
Re-printed by Masonic Publishing Company 2006.
Edited by Robert L.D. Cooper.
A very nice re-printed publication regarding the Temple Church in London. It gives an insight to the history of the church describing the exterior, interior, choir, etc as well as explaining the effigies of the various knights with the nave. It is published in a similar manner to that of the "Illustrated Guide to Rosslyn Chapel and Castle", in that the text, font, and pictures are exactly the same. A nice little guide book to the church, and can be read by those who havn't even seen it.
The cover is a striking white background with a large red cross pattee on the front, with the title on the spine.
Available from the Grand Lodge of Scotland priced £8.00 softcover, and £12.00 hardcover. ( I think these are the prices but do check!!).

Greetings, The Church of the Knights Templars in London Where is it in London? Here is a good start: www.templechurch.com/FindUs/default.htmlwww.templechurch.com/TC_History/timeline.htmlwww.templechurch.com/TC_History/default.htmlwww.innertemple.org.uk/IT_brief_history.htmlwww.innertemple.org.uk/links.htmlIf you are on Fleet Street and opposite the Law Courts find the old building at Fleet Street N° 17. This is the oldest remaining building to survive the Great Fire of London. This building is also well worth a visit i.e., the Prince Henry's Room above the Inner Temple Gatway, and the ceiling is also worth a visit. Also look above the doorway. The old sword should still be there. This is the entrance to the Inner Temple (There are 4 Inns of Court). A short walk will bring you to the Temple Church. It is one of the very few examples of the original round churches (3) that still exist in GB/UK. You can also get off at the 'Temple' underground railway station and walk up from the river. Best to check the opening times. The book "The Story of the Temple, Gray's Inn and Lincoln's Inn" by Colonal Robert J. Blackham will be of interest to those of you who are in the legal profession.
