The City of London A Masonic Guide by Yasha Beresiner, 96pp, illustrated throughout in full colour, ISBN 0-85318-254-X, Lewis Masonic 2006 £9.99.
A very good book. Bro Beresiner does very well considering that there really isn't that much masonic stuff in the City of London. He points out that there is no connection between the Company of Masons and our Craft, although he adds that 21 of the livery companies have their own lodges.
"In 1905 the Guildhall Lodge No 3116 was consecrated ... Since that date a total of 71 Lord Mayors of the City have been Masters..."
Bro Beresiner is a qualified tour guide for the city and he takes us around th epoints of interest with considerable élan.
Well worth a tenner!

You said that if we ever had the opportunity to hear him speak we should seize it. I imagined that the reason we should seize the opportunity to hear him speak was that either he was a Lester Piggott-like character who was born with a natural reicence which concealed a curt wit only rarely exercised, or that he was a zen-like sage, seated with Mount Rushmorean equanimity on a rock in Tibet, who once every 100 years utters one 4-word sentence to his devoted followers.
