Bro. Dunn,
It saddens me deeply, from the depth of my heart that you sir seem to have missed or casually disgarded the core foundational teachings of our noble and gentle Craft. When you quote ritual as you did in this paragraph:
"Be kind, be just, and be true, and convince the world by your actions that upon becoming a master mason, you have become a better man. Retain, we entreat you, that goodness of heart, that purity of intention and that love of virtue, of which we now think you possessed, and of which, this spotless vestment, wherewith you are now girded, is at once the emblem, the badge, and the reward."
Then you follow those beautiful teachings with rancor and discourse as you do in this paragraph:
"As if that were not enough, Masonic Forums and Blogs were getting heated over the whole issue and claims made by the new Grand Orient of the United States, A fellowcraft, there is no point in naming him, due to issues of his own, took virtual ownership of the whole Grand Orient issue and used it as a cudgel against the Regular Grand Lodge system and all regular masons... and darn near anyone else. Anyone else... including some of our female brothers from co-ed and female only obediences.
If anyone did not drink the Kool Ade he was serving hot and steaming, they got dished some very personal... observations. He posted his observations and uninformed opinions on several masonic forums, sent emails, made phone calls, and claimed to be a member of this new Grand Orient."
It leads me to a few very sad conclusions. Either you really do not grasp the meaning behind those words of ritual. Or you have a deeper problem where your self belief and actual actions are on divergent paths.
Brother, you have taken upon yourself to be a mouthpiece for Freemasonry on the world wide web. A heavy responsibilty. As it holds true that no man speaks for Freemasonry as a whole it is also true that we are all ambassadors of the Craft. As I stated in another post the minimal standards for a Mason are the standards of a polite and sincere gentleman. I do not see that in any of your posts during these recent events. Either you have forgotten how to behave, never learned or you feel that you can decide when and ware to disregard gentlemanly manners. Right now, at this very moment you are not meeting our most basic standard of criteria.
I really wish I could do more to help you. My obligation is that I must offer you assistance in your time of need and this is clearly one of those times. I also believe that you are in the most need of a heavy dose of discipline and I wonder if the Bretheren of your own Grand Lodge would feel the same. For your own sake I hope that they do.
