Has anyone bought these Cds? If so how good or bad were they as I am seriously considering buying them for myself as a Christmas present (The Taylor's Version of course)

the copyright of Emulation ritual is held by Lewis Masonic. Call me old-fashioned, and maybe my moral standards are unusually high, but I won't be supporting this breach of copyright. How would you guys like it if the patents or copyrights of your own businesses were infringed by someone who sought to make money for themselves out of your intellectual property? That's a good question. On one hand I didn't consider any copyright implications prior to my purchase of them, but I'd never dream of using that as justification. So on the other hand, I don't see how my purchase of this set has in any way infringed Lewis Masonic's copyright, especially under the fair use concept. Particularly the criteria about the effect upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work - I already have my ritual book, I cannot do without it, and Lewis Masonic do not (to my knowledge) produce an audio version of the ritual. They are not being done out of a penny, and I can't see anyone in their right mind arguing otherwise. Were they to produce an audio/MP3 CD of the ritual, then it's pretty certain it would be of a better quality than the version under discussion. That alone would be an excellent reason to buy it, but more importantly is that it would then mean the copy I have is now no longer covered under the fair use banner. As I learned it in university, Copyright is meant to protect the creator from possible loss of income and others claiming it as their own. Neither is the case here. I have not purchased this instead of the copyright-holder's product, so there is no law broken, no ethics breached, no integrity damaged, no harm done and no foul. It's not meant to protect the public from excellent supplementary resources. IANAL, YMMV, RTFM, etc, etc...

Matt
In your case what you say is, of course, entirely true. But some people might be tempted to buy these audio CDs and not buy the book at all.
I think the ritual associations should produce these things themselves.
