Hi long time no see! For some time ago i became a member of this site, but havn`t been here for a while! And it`s sometime ago i contacted "Le Droit Humain". But just now i got the call from one of the represenatives for the order in Scandinavia! The funny thing is, that i was sound asleep from a 50 year celebration party from the day before, so this person took me by great surprise! I was told that i had not been forgotten. Then i was asked if i wanted to be initiated in the, only lodge in Norway. A small travel from where i live! But that could take sometime. Or i could travel to Denmark to get initiated faster! And I answered: The sooner the better! And i gave a good thanks and said i would be honured! But i was also asked what i knew about the organisation? I have earlier of course, explained my personal beliefs and such, so i said i know what i`ve read from the internet site, and some info i gotten from a Masonic forum! Then he once again said: You are not forgotten! But i didn`t get any further answers of when i am to travel to Denmark to be initiated! How does it work? Or did i say something wrong maybe? As i spoke i was a little tired that day he he Please help me out! Best warmest regards Chris

LDH here in the USA took a while... about 4 months to get with me as well. I'd not be concerned. If you are, or question the origination of the call, go through your initial contacts again.
I later found that they had not received my first emails of inquiry. Remember, email is only 80% accurate as far as it going through the electronic airways. Don’t assume they have received a communication unless they have replied to it. Also, check your spam mail folders often.
If you desire this, make sure that you are heard..

Hi FireMist nice to meet you! And thank you for you`re answer! This representative and i, have been communicating by e-mail a couple of times earlier. But then i didn`t hear anything! I think it was for a period of 4 months or so! I was also asked f i wanted to participate in something new! So i assume the plan was already made, and i was supposed to finally get my foot inside the door! I just wondered since i didn`t get any further info on when it was suppose to happen, if anything was allright! Or if there were something that should`ve been said maby! You see i am really dedicated to my wish of joining LDH. So i want it all to be right! I will probably be contacted again, but i must admit i am curious and eager to call back But i dont want to be a "Pain in the ass" either! excuse the language ¨ Time is a virtue in this "game" i know so i`ll probably have to wait. Thank you

Hi Chris, Be patient, my brother to be I doubt very much the person you spoke to was put off by the fact you learned about Co-Freemasonry and in particular LDH via an Internet Masonic forum - it is after all how I learned of their existence In LDH UK we are fortunate in the sense we have someone who assists all wishing to join by putting them in touch with their nearest and most appropriate lodge, this person is also very important as he or she is always available to speak to in case of unforeseen difficulties in communication between Lodge and potential Candidate. Not sure what the situation in your neck of the woods is but if you have someone like this it might eleviate any undue concerns if you contact them. Good luck to you and please keep us informed on how things go.

Hi Christian, Good news; congratulations I know the waiting is hard, but it is essential. Each of is given the wait we need -- somehow. Use this time well -- it will never come again.

Being "eager" is a good sign in my book

Greetings everyone!
I continue to bother you guys with newb questions! Sorry for that... Yeah the waiting is indeed hard! Now it`s been almost half a year since my application! I wonder, if it could be because it is only one lodge in Norway and thats in Stavanger with 38 sisters. I live in Sandefjord and thats a 6 hour trip from there. But thats no problem for me really.. And if the women would accept me i would be honured to be the first man aboard hehe... Well i could travel anywhere for initiation in the world the same for participating in meetings! That is because i belive!! I belive in masonry and its system!! And i really want to learn a lot!! Yeah yeah i have said it before, i guess im eager maby to eager... This very nice and respectable mason i talked to was kind to give me he`s number. And last week i tried to call him, but i didnt get any answer. And then i send him a sms. He he do you think i am nagging too much maby?? Yeah yeah it would been nice to know anyway.....
Thank you for your time.

Chris, six months does seem a longtime to wait for news on an application you submitted. Are you sure it was received? Perhaps you should contact the lodge again and see what's wrong.
Good luck to you.

Hi! Please forgive my ignorance... Maby i misunderstood regarding initiation? I did recieve a phonecall in November from a very nice and polite representative. He was the one that contacted me in the first place after i send my letter of interest.. The first contact was about half a year ago.. We communicated via e-mail. Anyway he called me in November and he said that we got to get me initiated... Maby i heard wrong when he said if i wanted to do it in the order in Norway or Denmark..? This polite man was Danish himself... He also spoke of another lodge planning to open nearby.. Maby this is the reason..? Well i dont know... Again forgive me for beeing so curious and eager...

It has crossed my mind that they may in fact wish to keep it an all feminine lodge. If it is a Co-Freemasonry Lodge I don't see this being the case.

I have considered that it could be the reason too... I have been to the websites of "the norwegian order of freemasons". You know that in norway they follow the swedish system and they only accept members bound to christianity cause all they`re meetings are based on that christianity. And please forgive, one of the reasons i first got interested was because, each man, or woman in co-freemasonry could sit together as free and brethren no matter wich religion they belong too...

Co-freemasonry was the next alternative of freemasonry in Norway... And i belive both woman and man work good together in these curcuimstances... But i am off course nothing yet... I just want to get busy... And it would endeed been nice to recieve a answer soon

Before you take the matter further with that lodge you need to ask them why there are no men in their lodge if it is truly co-masonic. ;D Men have other options Men are usually frightened by 'mobs of' women (can't blame them, they frighten me too sometimes) Like attracts like As with the all male lodges, a predominance of females in a lodge does tend to make for unbalanced energies (sorry scientifically minded folk, don't know what other word to use) which can be a bit off putting. But if one is a good man, and can see past the body parts and personalities, one will find what he is looking for.... same goes for a new male in a male only craft where personality traits can become a problem.
