Hi, I'm just wondering if there are many American masons here. I've noticed a lot of Europeans. There used to be a site with a lot of Americans (including Canadians) called thelodgeroom.com but the site owner took it down. I'm not asking because I only want to associate with Americans or anything silly like that, just want to talk with people whos lodges I may possibly visit.

I lived in the US a couple of times. This was back in 1984 and 1992. In '84 I was in New Jersey, in '92 Dallas/Forth Worth area. Met some wonderful people in both places. I was also in the US for three weeks with my ex-wife in 1987. Hoping to go there in about two years with my latest wife

Ah, you had me confused earlier: Milwaukie, Oregon - not Milwaukee, Wisconsin ("Brew City").
But, as all fans of Wayne's World know, both placenames are derived from the Algonquin miliwau kay, "the good land".

Brew City? Ooooooooh, no. That Milwauk ee compares NOT AT ALL to Oregon. Milwauk ee has beer. Milwauk ie has BEER. In Oregon, in fact, it's referred to as " craft" beer. I don't think that's an accident. ;D There are others from Oregon here. We'll see if any says I'm wrong.

"Craft" beer...ahhhhh THAT explains the origin of the beer I found a few months ago was which brewed in Bend, Oregon, and packaged under the name of " Jubelale!" Unfortunately, I drank it all rather than saving some for the end of the 2nd section of the MM degree. It was darn good, by the way...

Ahhhh, yes indeedie, I've had Jubelale. Its one of the beers produces by Deshutes Brewery. It's a good one but I prefer their Obsidian and their Black Butte.
