Yes, Trivial Pursuit. Bingo, yes, all over in every town. BINGO is a fate worse than death. ;D

One of the Brothers plays a mean banjo. I dig the Hokum Boys and Dick Justice for 20s music. One Brother brought an old cylinder player and played pre-WWI music. That was great stuff! A yodeling contest, eh? I won't suggest it, but it sounds like a blast. I live about 7 miles from Orville Gibson's hometown, and in fact, we have an Orville Gibson festival every so often. Bluegrass and yodeling prevail. Anyway, the Brethren are thinking about offering a yodeling contest next year; the winner will take home a Gibson mandolin.

Well, while I wont move into the "Little Steward's" chair this year due to spotty attendance due to ill health, Im hoping that since I am now well into my first year as a Master Mason that I will have the courage to rise, give the due guard and make my opinions known. There are lots of things we could do to be more visible in the community and fill the coffers at the same time while also raising more money to give to our Lodge's charitable causes. Ive decided that this year I will allow myself the privilege (or perhaps exercise the right) to vote no (or yes) when everyone else votes the opposite if I feel its the right thing to do.

Thank you. Even though its anonymous, I imagine its difficult to be the only one to drop the black cube or the only one raising your hand to vote know. Perhaps voting can teaching courage of ones convictions in Freemasonry.

Voting against the lodge is not easy, yet I've occasioned to do just that more than once. It is a test of character, yet the reasons for the vote should be for the best interest of the Lodge.
