So I have been studying the globe lately and I noticed the polar ice caps show something odd. If your able to find a good map of above and below water your able to see a type of twisting of the land mass. If you look head on at the southern pole (Antarctica) you can notice the land mass looks as if everything is spinning clockwise. Its alot harder to notice but the north pole looks as though its all spinning counter-clockwise. This doesnt suprise me because we encounter the water draining shift from nothern to southern hemisphere areas making the water drain spin change clockwise to counter-clockwise. However it seems to me it is also effecting the land mass of Earth. Where as there is land mass in the southern hemisphere the majority of habitable land mass is in the northern hemisphere and seems to be collecting up north. Perhaps our allighnment is off just enough to be pushing solid mass out and away while the water just fills in the gaps. Im not sure how much more settling is going to take place but I think its obvious tectonic plates are moving for a reason, its just defining that reason as a force that needs work in my opinion.

Wouldn't centrifugal forces move land masses toward the equator, much like the planet bulges at the equator?

btw, the water drain thing is a bit of a myth.

Regardless the physics behind its creation is a reality and directly effects the oceans and land mass. "The Coriolis force is caused by the earth’s rotation. It responsible for air being pulled to the right (counterclockwise) in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left (clockwise) in the Southern Hemisphere."

The obvious answer would be the equator but our forces are much more complicated then that unfortunately. This tilt that wobbles back and forth as we rotate the sun to me would be a description of the unbalanced force. The plates are simply trying to settle where the forces have pushed them, but its obvious that is far from done (earthquakes). If you look at the land mass at the equator its actualy smaller at that line (South america and Africa) the land kind of tapers. The axis is the focul point of our motion and also makes it the focul point of force (magnetic north).

It is a dynamic system. As you pointed out the Earth is tilted on its axis which contributes to our wonderful variety of seasons. The magnetic north is different from truth north but that is neither here nor there. Plate tectonics have always fascinated me. I don't think that the plates will ever settle. I suspect that they will always be moving. It is more than the rotation of the earth. There are gravitational effects from other bodies (sun, moon etc) that play a role. We also have that powerful hot engine in our planet's interior that is responsible for a great deal of it.

The reason for my suspiscions is that they have deduced the plates were more or less combined during the jurasic periods. So I was asking myself why and how is that changing the way it is. Since then it also seems land mass has dispersed immensely and continues to do so, also leaving the question "why had it gathered the way it did then disperse again". Perhaps this is further evidence leading toward the moon being a foreign body and not remnants of earths birth.

The magnetic north is different from truth north but that is neither here nor there. Just as an aside on this - there seems to be evidence that the magnetic poles of the Earth have flipped in the past - perhaps several times. There seems to be some weakening of the field even now and some surmise it may flip again in the near future - well 'near' as far as the Earth is concerned as 'in the next few million years'.

There is a lot of speculation and some evidence (though I will admit that it is not terribly strong) that the earth-moon system that we enjoy was the result of an old (very old) collision between our planet and another large (though quite a bit smaller than Earth) body. The resulting vaporization and subsequent cooling led to our current situation.
I have read some about the polar flips but not too much. Interesting subject though I am still unclear about its effects on the planet's climate. Do you have more information on that?

I have read some about the polar flips but not too much. Interesting subject though I am still unclear about its effects on the planet's climate. Do you have more information on that? Not a whole lot, since no one has been around during any of these reversals in polarity. Two practical problems are posited, the first which is currently happening is that the 'magnetic north' is moving - 10km/year at the beginning of the 20th century and has accelerated (and continues to do so) to 40km/year - towards Siberia from Northern Canada. How this will effect the use of a compass I suppose depends on where you're currently standing. Also there are theories that it may affect how the planet deals with solar and cosmic radiation and that if the field becomes too weak during the 'flipping' process we may be exposed to Bad Things(tm) because of it. Obviously our ancestors and the other forms of life here survived it so it can't be too bad. I have a greater concern as to what this might do to our electronics and other magnetically based equipment. I'd imagine that's where we might be the most vulnerable if such a shift were to interfere with the myriad forms of technology we employ which are strongly based on magnetic fields.

The cataclysmic pole shift hypothesis is the conjecture that there have been rapid shifts in the relative positions of the modern-day geographic locations of the poles and the axis of rotation of a planet. For the Earth, such a dynamic change could create calamities such as floods and tectonic events.[1] This type of event would occur if the physical poles had been or would be suddenly shifted with respect to the underlying surface over a geologically short time frame. This hypothesis is almost always discussed in the context of Earth, but other bodies in the Solar System may have experienced axial reorientation during their existences.
Among the scientific community, there is no research that indicates a rapid change in the position of the rotational axis. There is evidence of precession and changes in axial tilt, but this change is on much longer time-scales and does not involve relative motion of the spin axis with respect to the planet. However, in what is known as true polar wander, the solid Earth can rotate with respect to a fixed spin axis. Research shows that during the last 200 million years a total true polar wander of some 30° has occurred, but that no super-rapid shifts in the Earth's pole were found during this period.[2] A characteristic rate of true polar wander is 1° per million years or less.[3] Between approximately 790 and 810 million years ago, when the supercontinent Rodinia existed, two geologically-rapid phases of true polar wander may have occurred. In each of these, the Earth rotated ~55°.[4]
Polar shift seems to be a more likely case for tectonic movement, as drastic from prehistoric to modern day. Thanks for responding, fun stuff

Then theres the recent focus of speculation Nibiru or planet X. Ya know this video is wierd and kinda funny. What is up with these videos BTW? It seems like people just want to think freemasons are behind this because thier level of understanding is so drasticaly different. If you ask me its just further evidence of our worldwide stupidity. We want a peacefull world, but no leadership or government to bring it about so if you try your a satanist. We want to have end of struggle and war but any one person leading those words is now considered to be the anti-christ. I mean... really? I know I strayed from the tectonic plate thing but i just found these and was quite offended and im not even a member.
