The American civil rights movement was the direct result of brave American Communists who acted upon the humanitarian ethics of Socialism.
The American Negro Labor Congress was America's first organization dedicated to African American civil right run by African Americans. It was attached to the Communist Party of the USA as well as a member of the Communist International (ComIntern) and received the full support of the Soviet Union.
Brave American heroes such as Cyril Biggs, Otto Hiswood and Richard B. Monroe were all members. They actively fought against lynching, Jim Crow barbarity and they established education programs for the inner city poor.
Before the CPUSA lost it's way to become simply a sub domain of the DNC, it was front and center in the battle for civil rights.
This part of American history isn't taught in schools.
