On a previous thread there was a mention of establishing a Lodge of Perfection.
My question is . " What is your Perfect Lodge ?" and also "do Lodges of perfection only make good ritualists and floorworkers and detract from the real meaning of what we are doing"?

in Italy we haven't this kind of lodges.
A lodge should be perfect in every respect, both in education and in ritualistic.
Of course, education should be privileged: it's more important and also more difficult to attain.

I may well be wrong, but I infer that a 'Lodge of Instruction' is the term intended in this instance. In Australia a 'Lodge of Perfection' is opened in a Rose Croix Chapter to confer most of the intermediate degrees—#4 to #14 (a 'Council of Princes of Jerusalem' confers #15 & #16 and a 'Lodge of Knights of the East and West' confers #17, before #18 is conferred in the Ceremony of Perfection, in a 'Sovereign Chapter of Princes Rose Croix'). For me, the term Ceremony of Perfection is reminiscent of the making of the Albigensian Perfecti through the ceremony of Consolamentum, which in turn, I find reminiscent of the Egyptian declaration in their ceremonies of 'Weighing of the Heart' and 'Opening of the Mouth,' of 'Maa-kheru,' which can mean 'true of voice,' 'one whose voice must be obeyed,' 'so mote it be,' 'justified' and 'perfected.' For what it's worth, Churchward claims it was the original word of a M.M.

I think a Lodge of Perfection should be a lodge where at least ONE item of interest is discussed and thus people leave that little bit better for it!

The term "Lodge of Perfection" is used in A&ASR (Rose Croix) as Bro Tamrin has explained. It is also of interest to me that one of the Lodges in LDH here in England is called Maa-Kheru. I have attended as a guest and found it to be a very Esoteric and Spiritual Lodge indeed.
I haven't heard of Lodge of Perfection being use in other Masonic Bodies. There are "Lodges and Chapters of IMPROVEMENT" which are Lodges of Instruction which have very good Ritualists and often Demonstrate a Working or give Instruction to other Lodges, Chapters etc in that Masonic Degree or Order. These however are Exoteric in nature not usually Esoteric. They will show you for example how to work the Third Degree according to the Ritual Book but will not usually be involved in any Philosophical aspects of Freemasonry.

I think a Lodge Of Perfection should be the same to Lodge of Quality NOT QUANTITY. so quality and our valueable , secret work should come first and perfectly. Then of course our educational and beneficial sides effects to public. So my Lodge of Perfection is only with few members who is really in Masonry all the way and really beneficial to the Fraternity. No one day classes or 3 days 32.nd Degrees. This is not how they have built the KST.
